Aidan's Pov:

I got up and looked around for my shoes, I honestly had forgotten that I even took them off when I got here. "I'll be down in a sec!" I yelled out to Y/n who was downstairs probably, I went in to my closet and grabbed a hoodie and put it on.

Finally I went downstairs and saw Y/n coming over to me with one of my shoes, "Who the hell leaves their shoes in the middle of the hallway?" She laughed.

I rolled my eyes in a playful way and took it from her, "Me apparently-" I said slipping it on along with the other. I had no clue where Y/n wanted me to take her, but she said that it wasn't far. So I guess it'll be ok. "Ready?"

I looked at her, she nodded and walked out to the front door while I followed behind her taking out the keys from my pocket for the car.

I walked over and unlocked it, she got in on the passenger side while I got in on the driver side and started the car. "Seatbelt-" I looked over at her, she giggled under her breath. "I'm not 6 sir-" she pulled it over her and clicked it in, once I knew she was ready I pulled out of the driveway and we drove.

An hour had passed and we were still driving, where we were going felt far, but Y/n told me when we would be there.

A few minutes had passed and we got to the beach, it looked nice with the sun setting. I got out while she waited for me, I smiled when walking over to her.

She partially took her hand out of the sleeve of her jacket, only being able to see her fingertips. Soon enough I felt her hand slowly start to hold mine, she pulled me over and we walked in the sand, we sat down in it.

It was almost soft, but at the same time uncomfortable. If that even made sense, I looked over at Y/n and saw that she was on Instagram, "What are you doing?" I asked.

She giggled a little bit and I had no clue why, "Come on, tell me please-" I wrapped my arms around her waist and put my head on her shoulder. "Do you have Instagram?" she looked at me slightly, I nodded.

"Why?" I asked again, "Well if you go on there then you'll see." I let go of her and took out my phone going into Instagram and saw what she was talking about.

I stopped and just stared at my phone, everytime I was happy somebody had to ruin it, and of all people to do that right now. It was Madison, I just had to ignore it, that was all and I'd be fine.

Y/n I think noticed the way I was looking at my phone, "Hey.." she softly turned my head to hers. "Madison is a bitch to begin with.." she wasn't wrong though, Madison had been this way since kindergarten. "Yeah, I know" I said kissing her forehead.

I saw her getting up and going towards the water and she looked at me smiling, "Y/n no- the waters freezing.." I tried changing her mind, I knew what she was up to.

But she laughed and took off her jacket and shoes and ran into the water. I got up trying to stop her but she was already in it and I didn't want to get wet. "Holy shit I should've listened!" She yelled starting to shake from the cold water.

I laughed, "So get out-" she shook her head no and started to laugh as well. "Ok, I guess I'll just be going back to the house.. on my own, with no one to talk to-" I teased turning around. A couple seconds later I heard sandy footsteps running up behind me, and cold wet arms hugging me from behind.

"Jeez, fun much?" She looked at me, "What? I'm fun, I can be more fun then you." I smirked, "Then get in the water-" she looked behind me and back.

I looked behind me at the water, "No-", "Mr 'I'm fun' my ass.." I heard her under her breath.

I turned around and pulled her close to me, "I just don't want to get sick, like someone-" I said the end of it directly at her, she laughed rolling her eyes.

"Could we.. go home though?" I heard her say, "What was that?" I tried to not smile, "I said, can we go home?" She looked at me. "Yes, but on one condition."

"What?" She said, I leaned in and kissed her, she kissed back and felt her smile a little when she did. "Now we can go home.."

Soon we stayed a couple more minutes and then eventually got in the car and drove back to Madison's house, I realized that halfway there when I looked at the time on the car radio that it was 11:28pm.

I had forgotten that it was New Year's eve, but I didn't care. Probably by the time we got back everyone would be drunk out of their minds not even noticing that we were back.
