"I know you want to leave but friend, please don't take your life away from me..."

Y/n's Pov:

We watched the movie after having our laughs, Aidan's head rested on my chest and for some odd reason I couldn't stop messing with his hair. But he hasn't said stop so I continued with it, we heard a knock on the front door, and neither of us knew who it was.

"Stay here.." Aidan said getting up off of the couch and going over to the door, I sat up and watched while he opened the door.

"Sorry but we don't-" Aidan got cut off by whoever was at the door, "Where is she?" I could tell that I wasn't the only one wondering who that person was talking about. "I'm sorry, who?" Aidan asked looking over at me real quick and then the person again.

"Don't even start that with me, her friend Genises' mom read me the texts that both her and Genises had!" Hearing that, I knew who was at the door now.

I saw Aidan try to close the door but I saw my mom come in, it had almost 2 weeks and she's now noticing that I've been gone. "Get over here now Y/n, you have no idea what you're even doing here" she still had that same tone I remembered last time we talked, or argued I guess you would call it.

I looked at her, "Do you even know why I left?" I could tell just by saying that pissed her off. And of course, she didn't answer me, I knew what she was thinking. She probably thought I was a liar and that I had no reason to leave home.

But that was according to her, not me, I had my reasons. "Then tell me why" she finally answered.

Before I could even make out words of what to say I looked at Aidan slightly, he was worried, and I knew he was wanting to do something about the situation.

The memories of the afternoon of the day I left came back to me, tears started up in my eyes and I tried hiding them. But it wouldn't take long until I broke, "Y/n do-" I heard Aidan start until I nodded my head at him.

"I left because of.. that creep who you call your boyfriend-" I said not wanting to look at her, but because of manipulation I did anyway. "You know I don't like when you don't make sense, just say it already!" She yelled.

3, 2, 1... any minute now, hell will break loose.

"He r-raped me mom, after you left going upstairs drunk! Y-You left me with him, and I tried all that I could to get him away but-" I was cut off by her, which wasn't by surprise to me by slapping me across the face.

Harder than usual though, before I could do anything Aidan grabbed her and pushed her out of the front door and locked it. She banged on the door and shouted, saying how she now loved me and didn't mean it.

But that also I was a slut for fucking her boyfriend. I thought it was over with, I thought I was free from her.

But it turns out that I wasn't anymore. After Aidan had locked the door it felt as if my body gave up on holding me up, including my emotions.

I was mad, sad, anything but in the category of being happy right now. "Y/n, Y/n hey she's gone it's just you and me now-" Aidan tried holding me up but I was already on my knees crying.

He held me, but I didn't want to be, I tried pushing him away. But he wouldn't let me go, "G-Get away from me!" I yelled, but I didn't want him to.

"No, I'm not letting you go because I don't want you hurting yourself or anything else-" he said. I still didn't give up, and kept trying to push him away from me, but the more I did the more I cried and felt more weak.

After my final attempt I gave up and cried into his shoulder, "Shh, you're ok. It's going to be ok, I'm not leaving you, not ever. I don't care if you decide to punch me, I'm still not leaving you. Ok?" I felt his hand on my back.

"She was never like this.." I said quietly.

"2 months before my dad died they were always arguing, that's when she started drinking and just.. started changing completely of who she was-" I realized that Aidan was the first person I had told this to, not even my closest friend Genises knew.

He looked at me, almost in shock, but it was nothing compared to him.

I laughed looking down, "Maybe it's best if I do just go back home.." at this point I didn't know what I was thinking, I felt it'd be best for Aidan. I didn't want anything more happening to him then there already was.

"No Y/n, I'm not letting you go back there. Not if your mom is going to keep hitting you and her boyfriend being there!"

"You're not the boss of me, you can't tell me what to do and what not to do. If I want to go back I'll go back, you can't tell me otherwise." I looked at him, I could tell that he was biting his lip on the inside.

He didn't say anything and looked away from me, "Aidan-" I tried to get him to atleast look at me.

"No, if you want to go then go. You're right, I can't tell you what to do but I'm only trying to protect you. And obviously, you don't need me to anymore so just go-" he stood up.

"That's not what I'm saying-"

"Just go! Leave Y/n!" He shouted.

I had no words, I didn't know what way to respond to him. I got up and went upstairs grabbing the few things I had that belonged to me. What was I doing?

I was doing what was best for me, Aidan was right though. I shouldn't go back, but I didn't want it to get to the point where my mom would call the cops and try to say that I was kidnapped by him.

Because knowing her, that would be something she would say and something that the cops would believe.

Cause' that's how they usually were, but if it was something that was true they'd call bullshit on it. I got everything packed in a bag and started to leave the room, did he mean it? About leaving..

I went back downstairs and saw that Aidan was no longer there, not in the living room, kitchen, or dining room. I was now regretting wanting to leave, but maybe I'd go back and things would be different. Maybe I could forget about this ever happening.

But I didn't want to forget about being happy with him, happy with a boy I never knew. A boy who somehow had a magic effect on me, someone who made me feel comfortable.

Someone who made me feel safe, and loved. Feeling cared for again, and someone who understood me and listened.

But I had realized that now I had ruined it all, I'd probably never see him smile again, feel his touch as to a simple kiss, or his laughter. And even if I did, it wouldn't be with me.
