Henry went back to his Traveller friends and started doing magic again. He turned all his attention towards alcohol and magic,thus completely ignoring his daughter Katrina who was just a baby who lost her mother. The chief servant Maria was the one who took care of Katrina and loved her like her own.

Time passed and Henry became an alcoholic. It was at that time an incident occurred which changed the fate of Katrina forever.

A five year old Katrina was playing with her friend Georgia. Georgia,the same age as Katrina was the daughter of Maria. After some time Katrina who heard the story about the Travellers asked Georgia to follow her to the secluded part of the village.

Earlier the secluded part was an active area where the Travellers used to meet up. The area was inhabited by hundreds of Travellers who used to  inhabit the body of  common villagers and sacrifice their bodies to do evil magic. When the news about their ill activities spread, the witches from the village put a hex on them, thus making them kill each other. Soon, the village was devoid of Travellers who were in the sacrifices. The ones that remain were the good ones, which left the area. Katrina's father's family was one of the good ones.

Now the area was completely isolated with ruins of old houses and sacrificial runes. There was a deep well in which the bodies of those sacrificed were dumped. The well was considered a symbol of Hell and those who do sacrifices there were given bounty by evil entities.

Katrina was so happy to reach there and she started exploring the ruins. Meanwhile, Georgia was terrified to set foot in this cursed area. "Let's go back Katrina." "Don't be scared, this is just an old tale." After some time Georgia lost sight of Katrina. "Katrina, just come back please. I want to go back." She got no replies and she soon started sobbing. She thought that her friend maybe in harm's way, so she walked slowly in search of her. When she reached a spot covered by thick trees, she heard a scream," Boooooo". Georgia was terrified that she lost footing and fell down a pit. "Georgie, Georgie, are you ok." Katrina's questions never got a reply from the pit and as the pit was pitch black she couldn't see anything. She soon rushed to find Maria, who along with a group of villagers came to look for Georgia. When they reached the well, Katrina in between sobs said," It was here I tried to scare her, she fell down and won't answer me." Maria broke down to tears as the only hope of seeing her daughter alive was over. The villagers consoled Maria and asked for Henry to meet them.

It became nightfall and the villagers came for a meeting.Henry who was drinking peacefully heard this unpleasant news and he was filled with rage. When he came to the villagers, one of them said,"Maria, had been a loyal servant and a good villager. She had been part of the Petrova family for long. Due to the sudden demise of her daughter Georgia, she decided to leave this village. Katrina Petrova's actions led to the death of an innocent girl. She must be punished for that. As she already lost Maria, the only one who loved her, when she killed Georgia, that itself is a great punishment for the girl. As for Henry, if you do not stop your Traveller tactics and alcoholic nature, both you and your daughter shall be banished from this village."

Henry was furious at Katrina and he beat the hell out of her using his leather belt. Maria didn't stop Henry but looked at Katrina with a pitiful glance. That night she lost her friend and her mother figure, and she became all alone.
