The night slowly creeped by as Dream remained in his hiding spot. When the initial shock of seeing actual monsters had faded away a little, he began to dig out his new home a little until his pick broke. It was a decent sized room now fully lit up by torches, a crafting table, furnace and a double chest placed against one side of the room to hold the things he won't need right now.

While he did that his new companion, that he officially dubbed 'Blade' now, curled up in the corner and slept. He thought about naming it Techno, but a small part of him was hoping that other people are here as well. He didn't care who it was, as long as he wouldn't be alone anymore... And if somehow Techno came into this world too, then calling them both by that name will be confusing.

He flopped down next to Blade and leaned back against the wall, trying to relax and get some sleep. There is no way he will leave this cave until the sun is up. But the constant sounds of monsters groaning and hissing on the surface didn't allow him to get much sleep. Every time he was about to doze off a different sound woke him back up, sometimes even witches giggling or an Enderman idling nearby. Somewhere in the distance he hears a crow cawing.

Was Minecraft always this terrifying?

He began playing with Blade's fur to try and keep calm while he munched on an apple. Despite knowing the little pig for only half a day, he was already attached to the little guy... or girl, he hasn't checked that yet. "At least I have you, right? You won't leave me all by myself." The pig was still asleep, happily dozing in his owner's lap. It made Dream smile a little as he attempted to sleep again.

Again, he made it all the way to the brink of fully dozing off when he heard a scream. A human scream. Even Blade woke up from it and lifted his head. "You heard that too, right?" He grabbed his stone sword a little tighter and crawled over to the dirt wall that was covering his home. He made a small hole into the wall and peaked outside. Two zombies and a skeleton were nearby, bit didn't notice him. Further away he could see more mobs, including the glowing purple eyes of an Enderman.

There it was again. A scream. For help? It sounds human... Maybe it's another person trapped in this nightmare! He was about to dig out the wall and run, but got reminded of his current situation when a Creeper walked by his little peaking hole. He flinched back and watched the Creeper pass by with a racing heart. Shit... how is he supposed to help when he can barely keep himself safe?

When he looked back outside, he saw a figure running in the distance, a Creeper blowing up behind them. If that person keeps going like that, they will get closer to Dream's hiding spot! He can let them in and help! He quickly crafted himself a shovel and got ready to make a hole into his wall.

Let's hope this won't backfire too much...

Once the person was close enough, after another Creeper exploded, Dream dug a large hole into the dirt wall and leaned out just enough to be seen in the light of his torch. "Over here!" Some Zombies immediately turned his way and started to approach his cave home, but so does the person that had been running from mobs.

The figure sprinted towards his hiding spot, passing most mobs without much difficulty, since they were focused on him. Dream opened the hole further and allowed the other to sprint inside. As soon as they were safe, he closed the hole back off and added an extra layer just in case. Who knows if the rule of 'only angry when they see you' still applies in this world.

He turned to the panting person behind him and immediately spotted the familiar white brimmed sunglasses and a bright blue shirt, the sleeve on his right shoulder a deep red and soaked in blood. "Oh shit oh god oh fuck." Dream knelt down next to his friend and tried to get a good look at the wound. "George? Can you hear me?"

The brunette just groaned in pain when his friend touched his shoulder, nodding his answer to the question. "Okay... okay good. I'll try to stop the bleeding. Just stay still." He grabbed his stone sword and used it to cut off his pant leg as best as he could. He doesn't have anything else to use as a bandage.

George hissed when the fabric was pushed on the wound and wrapped around his arm and shoulder. The masked man tried to wrap it as tight as possible, since he doesn't have that much fabric to begin with. "Are you hurt anywhere else?" "No... I don't think so..." "How did this happen?" "Enderman... accidentally looked at it."

The fabric around his shoulder already started to turn red, but Dream tried to ignore it. "Here... let's hope the healing process is the same... or I won't have any clothes anymore if I keep cutting stripes of for new bandages." George huffed and took the offered apple. "You can just use my pant leg next time." He started eating the apple, leaning more against the wall behind him when the adrenaline started to leave his system and leaves him drained of all his strength.

Blade finally decided to come look at the new person and nudged George, looking at the apple with big eyes. "A pig?" "Yeah. He kinda just started following me around, so I kept him. His name is Blade." George laughed. "Blade? Really? Why not Techno?" "Since I was hoping that other people might be here, including Techno." He just nodded and gave the small pig a piece of the apple, which the pink animal gladly took and ate.

"Did you see anyone else? Or anything not Minecraft related that could come from other players?" George looked over to his friend, hoping to get a yes as the answer. "If we both are here, maybe others are as well. Strength in numbers and all that." Dream shook his head no. "Just animals and empty plains. Sheep... pig... saw a crow at some point... but that's about it." The brunette hummed and closed his eyes, tired and aching.

"Crows aren't in Minecraft... just parrots." "Yes, but you also can't tame pigs." "But these are real animals now, so it makes sense that you can befriend them." "Your point?" "Crows usually don't exist. If they do now, they might be a sign. Wasn't there someone who has crows as pets? I remember something about that..."

Dream leaned back against the wall now too and rattled his brain for where he heard the black birds as a sign for someone. He definitely knows that they are in a few animatics about the SMP. "Was it Philza? I can't remember if it was him or not." "Oh yeah! That's who they belong to! He has wings too, remember?" "Mmm..."

He stared at the dirt wall, playing with the string of his hoodie. "So you think that Philza is also here, because there are crows?" "Yup. Makes sense right?" "Kinda... we could try and follow one if you want? They either lead us to a forest where we can get wood and food, or to him. So it's a win either way."

"I guess... and even if we don't find him, we could find someone else. If we aren't the only people around." "We definitely aren't. If the two of us and maybe Phil are here, then there are definitely other people around. We just have to go find them." "Right." George nodded and yawned, his body demanding the much needed rest he's been refused so far. The makeshift bandage around his shoulder was bleed through at some points, but seemed to hold for the most part. That's a good sign. Let's hope it's because regeneration actually exists.

"Get some sleep. It will help with the healing... I hope." The brunette just hummed, already dozing off. Dream sighed and stroked over Blade's head, who decided to get comfortable right between the two to get warmer.

This was definitely not what he expected when he first opened his eyes in this world... It's weird how it's the first time of him and George meeting each other in person and they acted like it's the most normal thing in the world. Is this how he will meet most his friends for the first time? He doesn't know if he's ready for that... he does have his mask to keep his face hidden, but it still feels weird. It's definitely not the meet up he had planned to happen at some point. He doesn't know if he's ready for this...

"Looks like I won't sleep anymore tonight Blade..."
