*Corbyn POV*I sit at my regular table at Ebens restaurant, lightly tapping on my second glass of whiskey.
Cassidy told me that Calum said to meet him at the restaurant at one o'clock sharp. Being past one thirty, I'm about ready to leave or call Jack and get him to drive Cass here to have lunch with me.
I give the kid another 5 minutes before pulling out my phone, going to Jack's contact. I know Cass will be pissed that Calum didn't show up, but I just want to see her.
Cassidy has the day off today and went to visit her grandmother. She offered me to join her, once I was done with lunch, but I'm a little hesitant. Cassidy, of course gave me the warning that her grandmother will address me as Michael, her father, because all the men she's been seeing, she's been calling them Michael.
I want to visit the care facility for more than one reason, but those will be my secrets for now.
As my phone starts to ring, I watch Calum stroll into the restaurant, with his hands in his stupid ucla hoodie. He talks for a second with the hostess before she points back towards me.
"Hey Corbyn"
"Have a good day with your daughter" I hang up on Jack as Calum's eyes lock on mine.
I promised Cassidy I'd let Jack at least see his daughter. I never bothered to learn the little girls name but I did set up a college fund for her, as that's supposedly what Jack was stealing my money for.
Calum smirks as I place my phone into my leather jacket pocket. I didn't dress fancy to meet my girlfriends brother for lunch, it didn't seem necessary. I wore a casual white shirt with my black leather jacket over top.
Calum, clearly not giving a fuck about appearances, wears a pair of blue jeans and dark grey ucla hoodie. His hair is a mess, looking like he just woke up, or had a rough fuck.
"I thought you'd be late" Calum chuckles as he throws down a black backpack onto the floor before sitting across from me
"Cassidy said one o'clock" I check the time on my watch, reading 1:42.
"I figured you would've been late, you seem like a busy man, running a restaurant and all" Calum trails off, looking around the restaurant. "Is Cass working today?"
"No, and this isn't my restaurant" Calum's eyes snap back to me as a smirk spreads across my face
"Can I get you boys something to drink?" Stacey's high pitched voice rings annoyingly through my ears. A girl I once found attractive, annoys me now that I have Cassidy.
"A water" I call out, not wanting to drink too much to meet Cassidy with her grandmother.
"A glass of your finest red wine" Calum smirks, sending a wink to Stacey.
I lean my back on to my chair with a sigh, am I really about to pay for a three hundred dollar glass of wine?
"I'll be right back with your drinks" Stacey runs a hand along my shoulders and I cringe.
She's probably expecting a nice tip after this and the only tip she'd ever take from me, would always hit the back of her throat.
"So.." Calum starts. "You're dating my baby sister and as older brother duties, I have to get to know you, make sure you're not some creep" I can't help the chuckle that escapes my lips as he calls Cass his baby sister. They were born ten minutes apart.
"Lay it on me" I imagine his questions will be dumb and typical, so I take the last sip of my whiskey, placing the glass to the side of the table.
"Typical question, what are your intentions with my sister?" Typical.
