*Corbyn POV*"Hey Corbs-"
"What?!" I snap at Daniel who's knocking on my office door.
I haven't been able to sleep, can you tell?
The thought of Cassidy still missing kept me awake. The voice in my head, blaming me for her being gone kept me awake. Her blood on the side of the highway kept me awake. Her carrying my damn baby kept me awake.
She's been gone for over 48 hours, and it's been the worst two days of my life.
I've been watching back security footage of Cassidy since the day she started here. I'm looking at her on main stage, seeing if I can spot anybody that looks more into it than the rest, but I've got nothing so far. Whenever she was on stage, the whole mood in the club shifted. She got men excited, she brought people back in here just with a damn smile or a shake of her ass.
I pause the footage as Daniel starts opening the door. He's nervous as he taps his hands against his thighs and won't make eye contact for long.
"Is there- Is there anything I can do to help?" He looks around the room, as if my empty bookshelves look nicer than me
"You can get the fuck out of my sight, that'll help" I snap, resuming the video and I keep my eyes on the footage that rolls at twice regular speed
"Corbyn-"
"Don't you fucking dare. No matter how many times your dumbass apologizes, she's still gone. Saying sorry won't bring her back to me" I rest my chin in the palm of my hand, feeling my head starting to get heavy from exhaustion.
"I didn't make her get in that car-" I slam my laptop closed
"No, you didn't! But what you did do was push her away from me! I drove her to get into that car because you fucking lied! You lied to me! This fucking started with you!" I stand to my feet, about ready to walk around my desk
"Hey-" My phone begins to ring, vibrating on my desk.
I look down at the phone, seeing Calum's name come up. I haven't seen the kid since he abandoned my car outside Beau's stash house. I haven't exactly cared enough to look for him, I have bigger priorities than looking for some pimp.
"Besson" I call out after I answer the call, putting it on speaker.
"Corbyn?" Calum's voice comes out quick
"Yeah, what's going on Calum?" I sit back down in my chair and Daniel walks further into my office
"I- I think I spoke with Cassidy" I quickly grasp onto my phone, pulling it closer to me. Daniel grabs and opens my laptop as he sits down in a chair across from me.
"What do you mean? What happened?" I keep myself calm, I know if I panic it'll freak out both Daniel and Calum more.
"I was going to visit our Grams yesterday morning and-"
"You talked to her, fucking yesterday and I'm just hearing about it now?!" I swear to god, I wanna kill this stupid kid
"I wasn't sure if it was actually her. I didn't have your number. I'm sorry-" Calum stumbles over his words as he tries to speak faster than his mouth can handle.
"Just tell me what the fuck happened"
"Well, I went to visit Grams and when I got there, the front desk lady told me to wait because she was talking to Cassidy. So I ripped the phone from her hand and started shouting into the phone. She said my name, Corbyn" Calum's voice comes off pleading, as if begging me to believe him and I don't have any other option than to believe him.
