Running out of time

It was time for Erik's execution. Police came in, put Erik in handcuffs, and led him outside to the carriage that would take him away. In the middle of the square outside of the Opera laid a hang-mans rope. Everyone from elders to children had come to see the event. Including Raoul, Christine, and their son, Gustave. And for the people reading this that think Gustave is Erik's boy, you would be wrong. He's Raoul's son.

But he had heard a lot about Erik. It was just a shame that he would have to watch him die. (Y/N) and Daroga were there, waiting for the public event to start. Erik soon arrived and was taken out of the carriage forcefully even though he wasn't resisting. He was taken to the execution stand and place over the trap door and the rope that would take his life. But, of course, the executioner had to name off Erik's crimes. 

"Erik Destler, you have been charged, tried, and convicted for your willful commission of crimes against the French Republic. Said crimes being numerous in quantity and sinister in nature. The most egregious of these to be cited herewith: Murder, Arson, kidnapping, and abuse. And for these crimes, you have been sentenced to be, on this day, hung by the neck until dead. May God have mercy on your soul," The executioner said.

(Y/N) got close to the stand really to make her move. She shot a nod to Daroga and waited. The rope was placed around Erik's neck and (Y/N) started to run through the crowd. The executioner pulled the lever to make the trap door open up beneath Erik. For a split moment, Erik really thought his life was about to end. That was until he felt support under his feet. (Y/N) had thrown her sword at the trap door, giving Erik something to stand on.

Daroga handed (Y/N) another sword which she used to fight off the executioner. In the process, (Y/N) cut the hangman rope with the executioner's ax and Erik was free. Well, almost. Daroga was quick to uncuff Erik and he took the sword from the trap door. (Y/N) jumped down to escape the executioner but now it was time to handle the entire French Police force. A fight started with only the three friends able to fight back. And try not to get killed in the process. Erik may not have experienced a fight with Pirates but this was just as thrilling as what (Y/N) described.

And (Y/N) was very skilled with a sword. (Y/N) ordered the men to fight back but do not, under any circumstance, kill the police, That will just make things worse. Christine, Raoul, and Gustave left the scene and went to Opera. Christine had a show that night anyway. But it didn't take the police long to corner the three.

They all pointed their swords at the police, warning them to stay back. But Daroga had an idea. Using a simple Magician smoke bomb, he threw it on the ground giving the three enough time to escape with ease. Daroga went in the opposite direction to Erik and (Y/N) to help them reach the ship safely. Erik and (Y/N) hid in an alleyway to keep away from the police. 

"Nice to see you came to help, (Y/N)," Erik said

"I'm not losing you after learning that you're my soulmate. That was never an option," (Y/N) said, "But we don't have time for this. We have to reach the ship before sundown or we're stuck here!"

"What?!"

"Yeah, there's always an inconvenience."

Erik shushed her as Police walked by, searching for the two. Well, there's no option in sneaking around. It's getting close to sundown so they need to run.

'Survived another disaster. Can we run any faster? We're out of time, the sun is going down!' Erik said, 'When I thought I was done for, my new friends gave us an encore. Let's reach the shore of this Paris town.'

'Remember the size of the world before it was you and I, just you and I. And now the horizon holds so much more and it's do or die, yeah, it's do or die!' The two said

They ran out of the alleyway and started to run to the dock.

'M.I.A.M.I. Running out of time,' the crew said waiting for the three

"Ms. Daae, this is your half-hour call," A stagehand told Christine

'M.I.A.M.I. Running out of time.'

'J'ai besoin de plus de temps,' Christine said looking in the mirror (Translation: I need more time)

'M.I.A.M.I Running out of time.'

'We gotta go. We gotta go. We gotta go. We gotta go. We gotta go. We gotta go. We gotta go. We gotta go. We gotta go,' (Y/N) hurried Erik while they ran

'I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know,' Erik said

'M.I.A.M.I Running out of time.'

'Turn up the tempo,' Erik said

'Turn up the tempo,' (Y/N) said

Jose was at the execution site looking for (Y/N) as he hasn't seen her since last night.

'Her name is (Y/N), she's 31, she's my daughter. I know she was here. She bought this ticket,' Jose said showing the police (Y/N)'s abandoned ticket

'Hey listen sir, it's been a long day. Like I said, she was not with us. I need a nap,' one of the officers told Jose

'We'll get there in time and do so much more cuz it's you and I, just you and I. We'll run and we'll climb 'til we reach the ship cuz it's do or die, yeah, it's do or die!' the two said still running and taking as many short-cuts as they could

'M.I.A.M.I. Running out of time,' the crew said

"Ms. Daae, this is your five-minute call," The stagehand said.

But Christine wasn't in her dressing room. She had left with Gustave.

'M.I.A.M.I Running out of time.'

'Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go,' (Y/N) hurried Erik again

'I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know,' Erik said

'M.I.A.M.I Running out of time.'

'It's not too late!' (Y/N) said seeing the ship in the distance

'It's not too late!' Erik said seeing the same thing

'We're almost there! There's nothing left to do but climb!'

'M.I.A.M.I Running out of time.'

But they were too late. The police beat them to it with Raoul among them. The two stopped in their tracks and stood there defeated.

'We're out of time...'
