(Y/N) and Erik have really grown since they left the places that were keeping them from doing what they want. Erik has started to get closer to Christine and has almost forgotten that (Y/N) even exists. He still thinks that she is Christine. But (Y/N) has gone quiet. She's been hearing Erik teach Christine for so long now that she's given up trying to communicate with him.

Then again, she's started to think that she'll never find him. (Y/N) has managed to travel the whole world five times and she has searched everywhere for Erik and she hasn't found him. It's just gotten to the point that she doesn't even want to find him. And Erik won't even try to find the exact girl who sings in his head. But (Y/N) is getting tired of the constant singing in her mind.

All she hears constantly is Opera after Opera and the constant singing from Erik and Christine. If anything, she's grown tired of it. But things would only get worse the night of Christine's debut. If you've ever seen the musical, you would know that Erik gets angry at Raoul's sudden appearance and yell out his frustration to Christine. Raoul is Christine's real soulmate but Raoul doesn't sing as a past-time like most people in the Opera.

That only started again when he saw Christine take over Carlotta's role in Hannibal. Well, (Y/N) was asleep, drowning out the sounds of Opera when Erik practically yelled in her head, waking her up and causing her to fall out of her hammock. Having enough of this, she just stayed awake to endure it and went above deck.

"Up again, (N/N)?" One of the crew members asked.

"It's my soulmate. He may as well just yell in my ear at this rate," (Y/N) said annoyed

"What's he angry about this time?"

"Someone who he thinks is his soulmate has just reunited with her childhood sweetheart. Because he loves her so much, he's annoyed that someone is going to steal her from him. Honestly, who cares? Love is a waste of time."

"How would you know? You've never fallen in love."

"Because I don't need to. And you haven't found your girl yet so don't say that to me."

(Y/N) was right. Most of the men on the ship haven't found their soulmates yet. (Y/N) is one of them. But the ones that have met their soulmates don't stay around a lot due to being at sea all the time. (Y/N) told the sailor to get some sleep and that she would take over. For the next few minutes, (Y/N) would just listen to Erik and Christine. She could only imagine what was going on. But she almost became hypnotized by Erik singing Music of the Night. She just chose to ignore it but still admired his voice. But then the song ended and all was quiet. (Y/N) thought it was finally over until Erik started playing his Organ in a rage.

"Oh, would you just SHUT UP!" (Y/N) yelled annoyed at the amount of music she's been forced to listen to all night

But she then had an idea. Erik can't hear her unless she's singing. Using a call they accidentally made up one night, she vocalized a few notes, getting his attention. Hoping that she had, she started to talk.

'I can hear you but I won't,' (Y/N) told Erik

'Some look for trouble while others don't,' Erik replied rather surprised

'There's a thousand reasons I should go about my day.'

'And ignore your whispers which I wish would go away. Oh.'

Erik vocalized a bit and (Y/N) gave a small reply to it. Erik went into the room that Christine was sleeping in to see her fast asleep so she isn't singing. His soulmate isn't Christine, but someone else.

'You're not a voice! You're just ringing in my ear!' Erik said not wanting to believe it

'And if I heard you, which I don't, I'm spoken for I fear,' (Y/N) said to him, 'Everyone I've ever loved is here within these sails. I'm sorry, secret siren, but I'm blocking out your calls.'

'I've had my adventure, I don't need something new. I'm afraid of what I'm risking if I follow you.'

'Into the unknown! Into the unknown!'

'Into the unknown!' they both said

They both started vocalizing and Erik had confirmed, for sure, that Christine wasn't who he was looking for. So who is this mystery woman that's been singing in his head all his life?

'What do you want? 'Cause, you've been keeping me awake!' (Y/N) said

'Are you here to distract me so I make a big mistake?' Erik asked, 'Or are you someone out there who's a little bit like me? Who knows deep down, I'm not where I'm meant to be?'

'Every day's a little harder as I feel the power grow. Don't you know there's part of me that longs to go!'

'Into the unknown? Into the unknown.'

'Into the unknown,' they both said

(Y/N) vocalized their call again

'Oohh... Are you out there?' Erik asked

'Do you know me?' (Y/N) asked

'Can you feel me?'

'Can you show me?'

They start taking turns doing their call while the spirits of the sea that (Y/N) was told about started to show visions to them both. They both saw the Opera House burning, their meeting but not showing each other's faces, and them going on many wild adventures before disappearing.

'Where are you going? Don't leave me alone!' Erik begged both (Y/N) and the spirit

'How do I follow you...' (Y/N) started

'You.'

'Into the unknown?'

'Whoa!'

Erik almost couldn't believe he was chasing the wrong woman for years. But he loved Christine. He didn't even know who (Y/N) was. She may have become famous practically all over the world for being the first female sailor, who wasn't a pirate, to travel around the world as much as she had and made a difference everywhere she went. But Erik knew nothing about this woman. As he had no idea who (Y/N) was, he continued to try and win Christine's affection. Who says you have to be with your soulmate, anyway?
