Chapter 2 - Beta1

***Back with another chapter that I hope you'll all like!***

-- Kaika's P.O.V --

I gasp as I see this lifelike, life sized version of Rin Matsuoka inside the large crate. He looks as though he is sleeping, and there's a note pinned to his shirt. There isn't much written but I hesitantly unpin the note and read it over 'To activate simply say "Turn on." If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to visit the executive office located at the A.C.T.L company building.'

A.C.T.L.? That sounds a bit familiar... I think to myself trying to remember where I've heard those initials before when I see an official stamp at the bottom of the page that read 'B.W.A'. Hmm, I wonder what that stands for... I look up from the note back to the sleeping Rin. I get a bit curious but then I quickly shake it off. I must be dreaming, how could this even be real? I close my eyes and open them a few times but the crated Rin is still there. I'm really tired, and I've been upset lately, I'm probably just seeing things.

I try to reason with myself. I'll just leave this alone and get some rest, I'm sure once I'm well rested it won't be here anymore. This just doesn't seem like something that could even be possible, I mean he's a fictional character! I put the paper down on the table and go into the kitchen to make myself something to eat.

-- Third Person P.O.V --

After eating and cleaning up, Kaika showers and starts to head to bed. She peeks in the living room before going upstairs to her room. Seeing that the crated Rin hasn't gone anywhere she shakes her head in disbelief and walks to her bedroom. She jumps into her bed and soon dozes off.

-- The Next Day --

Kaika yawns and stretches as she wakes up and heads down stairs. Man I love weekends and sleeping late. She laughs to herself as she makes a bowl of cereal and then walks into the living room. She sits criss-crossed on the couch and takes a bite of her cereal as she picks up the TV remote. She clicks the power button but the TV won't turn on. "Stupid TV, always messing up." She hits the remote against her palm "Turn ON" she says raising her voice slightly in irritation.

Rin's eyes slowly open: "Command has been recognized, I am now activated."

Kaika: "Huh?"

Kaika, still being half-asleep had been completely oblivious to the crate that still sit by her front door. That is, until she heard a voice come from it. She turned to look at the crate and rubbed her head now wide awake. Oi... it's still here... I guess I wasn't dreaming after all...

Rin: "Done activating."

Rin steps out of the crate and smiles putting one hand behind his head: "Ah, it's good being up."

Kaika's eyes widen at the sight of him. What have I done?

Rin turns to face her: "Hi there, you must be the one who activated me. I am Beta1 Rin Matsuoka, and I am what is known as an A.H.F.C."

Kaika looks at him confused: "A.H.F.C?"

Rin: "Yes, and according to my knowledge, it stands for Artificially Humanized Fictional Character, unlike any other cyborg or Android created. I am the most advanced and human-like "cyborg" ever made"

-- Kaika's P.O.V. --

I freeze not sure how to take this in. I can't seem to take my eyes off this human computer Rin thing. It's just so... so realistic. There's no wires, no metal, it doesn't seem to be powered off electricity either. Just then I hear it's, I mean his, I think, stomach growl.

I finally find my voice: "A-are you... hungry?"

He nods looking almost embarrassed: "Yes, I am sorry to cause you any trouble."
