Chapter 13 - Scheming Friends

- Third Person P.O.V. -

Emiko smiles: "Good, now that we're all agreed, let's go tomorrow night."

They all nod in agreement. Kaika and Mori head to the kitchen to cook dinner while Jushiro follows behind. Sebastian leaves to do his own thing and Emiko and Rin are left in the room.

Rin walks over to Emiko: "Did I hear you say date?"

Emiko smirks: "Perhaps."

Rin: "And who is this guy hm?"

Emiko smiles: "Well he's a but of an airhead but he makes me laugh and I have to admit he's pretty cute, especially when he's jealous."

Rin: "Oh, what's he jealous for, is there more than one guy in your life?"

Emiko giggles lightly: "No, he just doesn't realize I'm talking about him when he's standing right in front of me."

Rin's eyes widen slightly, surprised: "O-Oh, is that so?"

Emiko smiles and Rin leans in for a kiss when Kaika comes in.

Kaika: "Dinner's do- o-oh sorry!" She gets flustered and walks back into the kitchen looking a little embarrassed.

Rin: "Where were we?" He smiles and tries again but Emiko ducks under his arm and smiles teasingly.

Emiko: "Oops, you missed." She smiles playfully and walks into the kitchen.

Rin walks in after her and Kaika smiles and starts serving the food. Once she finishes serving she looks around.

Kaika: "Where's Sebastian?"

Kaika asks trying hard not to blush as she says his name, thinking about him but she can't hide anything from Emiko.

- After Dinner -

Emiko helps Kaika clean up the kitchen as the guys go off. She hands Kaika a dirty plate.

Emiko speaks directly: "So Kaika, how do you feel about Sebastian?"

Kaika almost drops the plate she's washing: "H-Huh? W-Where's this coming from all of a sudden."

Emiko: "You're avoiding the question."

Kaika desperately tries to switch the subject: "H-How about you and Rin hm? What's going on there?"

Emiko smirks: "I like him and he likes me, now moving back onto you."

Kaika's cheeks turn slight pink: "You're so blunt Emiko..." She sighs in defeat knowing she's not getting out of this one: "Well... I think I do have some feelings for him."

Emiko smiles mischeavously: "That's what I had thought."

Kaika looks at her a bit worried: "Emiko what're... you thinking? You better not be planning anything."

Emiko looks over her shoulder: "Huh what was that Rin?" She speaks to no one: "I'm coming!" She quickly leaves the kitchen.

Kaika sighs and yells after her: "Emiko!"

Emiko goes to look for Rin and finds him in the spare bedroom laying on a bed reading.

Emiko: "Hey Rin, can I ask you something?"

Rin sits up: "Yeah, what is it?"

Emiko: "What do you think of and know about Sebastian?"

Rin furrows his brow: "Huh? Why so interested all of a sudden?"

Emiko waves her hand: "Not for me, for Kaika."

Rin laughs: "Ah, well, in my opinion I'd say he has a thing for your friend, but he'd never admit it or act on it."

Emiko nods: "I see, and even if she's trying to be more outgoing Kaika would never be open about it either.... Hmm..." She grips her chin in thought for a moment and then smirks.

Rin smiles: "You have an idea don't you?"

Emiko nods still smirking: "Of course I do." She leans in and whispers in Rin's ear.

Rin smiles mischievously: "Sounds like a plan to me."

- The Next Night -

A few hours after it closes, Emiko, Kaika, and the guys all head over to the local amusement park. Luckily for them, it's still far enough away from the town and behind enough trees that you can't see it from the town.

Emiko walks up to the gates looking around: "Hmm, there has to be some way we can get in."

Rin smiles picking her up in his arms: "Allow me." He jumps high clean over the 20 foot high gate that surrounded the amusement park.

Jushiro walks over to Kaika and holds out his hand: "May I?"

Kaika looks nervously: "I-I.. I'm not so sure."

Jushiro smiles: "Trust me." He scoops her up and jumps up before she can protest any more.

Rin catches Sebastian glaring at Jushiro as he does this. Without a word Sebastian along with Mori jump over the gate as well.

Rin walks over to Sebastian as he lands on the inside: "Are you okay with that?"

Sebastian keeps a straight face: "I have no idea what you are talking about."

Rin smirks: "Oh come on, I know you have feelings for Kaika."

Sebastian gives him a sharp look: "Don't be such an idiot, I'd never develop something as useless as that."

Rin shakes his head in disbelief: "Whatever you say." He walks back towards everyone.

Sebastian stares forward and thinks to himself: I've been careless if even he can see right through me. I just can't seem to fully push away.

The group begins to walk around and look for the power switches. After walking for a bit, they find the maintenance/security building. Emiko picks the lock and they find a huge panel of multiple buttons and switches. Mori scans the panel with his eyes and then his hands start moving quickly pressing and moving the buttons and switches. Suddenly all the amusement park lights go on.

Mori: "I left the music off so we wouldn't get caught."

Rin pats Mori on the shoulder: "Nice going!"

Emiko: "Well then, let's go ride some rides!"

As they all head out of the building Rin whispers to Mori.

Rin: "Can you do me and Emiko a favor, no questions asked?"

Mori nods signaling him to go on.

Rin: "Distract Jushiro for a minute and take him away from the group just for a bit?"

Mori looks at him a bit confused but then nods in agreement: "Okay."

Everyone starts to walk around looking for which ride to ride next when Mori grabs Jushiro and points to a ride in the opposite direction and then practically drags him towards it leaving Rin, Emiko, Sebastian and Kaika to themselves.

Emiko points towards an indoor roller coaster: "Let's go on that one!"

Rin and Kaika follows Emiko enthusiastically and Sebastian walks slowly behind looking unamused.

Emiko hops over the small entrance gate to the ride: "Okay, pair up."

Emiko grabs Kaika and Sebastian's arms and put them in the front car of the roller coaster, then pulls down the safety bar until it locks at their waists. She stands back as Rin, who was waiting outside at the control panel starts the ride.

Kaika looks back at Emiko as the ride begins: "Wait, what're you doing??"

Emiko gives a playful smile and waves: "Have fun you two."
