Chapter 12 - New Look, New Attitude

*** Aaaannnnnddddd we're back lol***

- Third Person P.O.V. -

Kaika opens her eyes: "Wow..." is all she manages to say.

Emiko looks at her with shining eyes: "Do you like it? I know you always liked red hair."

Kaika looks closely at herself in the mirror not recognizing the person staring back at her. There was no doubt those were her same bright blue eyes, but her hair, once a dark brown, was now a vibrant red, and a black and red dress lined with lace, a small black top hat with a bow, and black stockings replaced her neko hoodie and jeans. (Picture is above.)

Kaika gives a closed-eye smile turning around to look at Emiko: "I love it, thank you!"

Kaika hugs her tightly and Emiko hugs her back returning the smile.

Emiko steps and raises an eyebrow: "Hey, why did you finally decide to do this anyways?"

Kaika's cheeks turn a slight pink in embarrassment: "Well..."

Emiko laughs a little: "Well, I'm waiting."

Kaika looks away: "I want... I want to be different, and I want to get stronger... I want to be able to protect everyone I care about and let people depend on me for once."

Emiko smiles and puts her arm around Kaika's shoulders: "Those guys have really grown on you haven't they?"

Kaika smiles slightly and nods: "I want to protect you too."

Emiko ruffles Kaika's hair: "Don't you worry, you've done plenty for me."

After looking over her new self, Kaika and Emiko head back over to Kaika's house. The guys are a bit stunned when they first see Kaika, her looks having changed a lot.

Jushiro runs over to her with his arms open: "Oh Kaika, you didn't have to change your looks for me to love you. I mean you've always looked great but now... well my my."

Just as Jushiro is about to pull her into a hug Emiko slides in front of her and Jushiro runs into her and he falls onto the floor.

Jushiro pouts: "You all are so mean."

Emiko simply shrugs and Mori walks over to Kaika looking at her leg.

Mori: "We should take a look at your leg and make sure an infection won't start."

Kaika nods and they all head to her room. Mori checks her leg and cleans the stitches while Kaika looks around wondering where Sebastian was, and why he wasn't doing it like he had before. Emiko, seeing that Kaika was in good hands with Mori smiles and heads downstairs. When she walks into the living room she finds who she was looking for sitting on the couch.

Emiko crosses her arms and leans against the wall: "So, I heard you and the others really helped take care of Kaika while I was gone." She pauses and smiles: "Thanks Rin."

Rin: "Well she is our friend too now, it was only natural for us to help."

He smiles and walks over to Emiko. He puts his hand on the wall mext to her and leans in over her.

Rin: "But if you're that grateful... maybe I could get a little reward?" He smiles flirtatiously and then leans in for a kiss.

Emiko puts her hand up blocking it and smiles: "Down boy." She starts walking away but before she leaves the room she looks over her shoulder: "But keep trying, if you ask the right questions I just might say yes." She smirks and gives him a wink before walking out.

Rin blushes lightly: "Did she just... wink at me?"

- Meanwhile - - Sebastian's P.O.V. -

While everyone is busy I decide to take this time to take care of some things. I walk down the stairs into the basement to interrogate Misfit025. As I turn at the bottom of staircase, I see the chair that he had been tied to, and it's empty. The ropes lie on the floor around it. I clench my fist and slam it into the cement wall in frustration leaving a dent in it.

I grit my teeth: "Dammit!"

I look around the room and then walk closer to the chair noticing a note on the seat. I pick it up and read it:

So sorry I couldn't stay and play a little longer. I'm sure you had something fun planned for getting information out of me and oh would I have loved to get my hands on that girl again. Oh well~ If I don't leave now my boss will surely kill me so ta-ta for now!

- Misfit025

I kick the chair over in frustration sending it flying into the wall and breaking into pieces. Where the hell did he go? HOW te hell did he get away?!

- Third Person P.O.V. -

Sebastian lets out a frustrated growl and then calms himself down and puts on a front not wanting anyone else to know what he found out.

Emiko and Kaika are standing in the living room talking.

Emiko: "You know I've always wanted to go to an amusement park with you, and now that you're feeling more adventurous we should all go."

Kaika looks a bit hesitant: "If we go with these guys we're going to get swarmed, we won't be able to do anything fun!"

Emiko nods and looks up, lost in thought: "You are right about that, and I wouldn't want some fan girls ruining my date..."

Kaika: "Did you say date?"

Emiko snaps out of her thoughts: "Huh? What? No, I didn't."

Kaika: "You did to! Now spill it."

Before Emiko could answer Jushiro pops his head into the living room and interrupts.

Jushiro: "Don't you two think about going without us either, I've never been to an amusement park but according to my knowledge, it's a great place for romance." He smiles moving closer to Kaika and gently lifting her chin so she's looking up at him.

At that moment, Sebastian walks in, and in between them slapping Jushiro's arm away from Kaika: "I suppose we should go in case someone else decides to pay you a visit like last time. It would be a pain to have to find you again."

Mori sits on the couch quietly and simply nods in agreement.

Emiko: "Well, if we don't want to draw a lot of attention to ourselves..." she pauses and a slightly mischeavous smile forms on her face: "I guess we'll just have to sneak into the place after closing."

Rin smirks: "I love a girl who likes getting into a little trouble every now and then."

Kaika: "But what if get caught?"

Jushiro: "Don't worry darlin, we have inhuman speed, we'll get out before anyone knew what hit them."

Kaika blinks hestiantly thinking about it. They all look at her with pleading looks except Sebastian who watches Jushiro with a cold glare as he speaks to Kaika.

After a long pause Kaika finally speaks: "Oh alright, let's do it."
