-- Third Person P.O.V. --
Kaika, still shaking, looks up at Sebastian with sorrowful eyes. He walks over and sits at the edge of the bed.
Sebastian: "Is everything alright?"
Kaika breaths heavily, she tries to speak but can't. As she opens her mouth to speak she only wheezes almost as if she can't breath. Sebastian looks at her unsure what to do at first but then grips her arm and pulls her close, embracing her.
Sebastian: "Just... calm down... It's... It's okay..."
He pats her head gently and Kaika's eyes widen in surprise and she continues to wheeze as her whole face turns bright red. Is this really the same guy??
Sebastian pulls back slightly still holding her and looks her in the eye: "Breathe slowly... and... take deep breaths..."
Kaika does as he tells her to and soon she able to breathe normally again and her shaking has stopped. She looks up at him and her heart starts pounding fast as she notices that the cold harden look that used to be in his eyes was now completely gone and replaced with a warm and comforting one. I guess he isn't such a bad guy.
Sebastian is still holding Kaika close as the door opens quickly and Rin pops his head in.
Rin: "Whoa! I just wanted you two to be able to tolerate each other but I didn't expect you to get so close!"
Jushiro peeks his head in behind Rin: "Hey Sebastian, you weren't trying to take advantage of that poor girl were you?"
Mori moves past them quietly and walks inside with a tray of egg drop soup, putting it down on the nightstand beside Kaika. At the same time, Sebastian gets up from the bed and slowly walks over to Jushiro and Rin hitting them over the head.
Sebastian: "Keep. Your mouths. Shut. You idiots! Nothing happened with me and her and nothing will ever happen so get that through your heads." He grits his teeth and anger marks pushing through Rin and Jushiro.
-- Kaika's P.O.V. --
His words sting just a bit, and just like that, Sebastian seemed to be back to his old self. But, there was no doubt there was another side to him, for that one short moment... Does he.. actually care? My heart beats hard against my chest as I think about the way he looked at me just seconds before and I can feel my cheeks beginning to warm up. Seeing the other guys still in the room, and not wanting to fool myself, I shake off my thoughts and thank Mori for the soup. He nods at me and turns away to leave. Jushiro follows him out of the room asking if there was any left over soup. As they all leave, I'm left in the room with Rin.
He leans against the wall by the door arms crossed and smirks at me: "So, what really happened?"
I start to blush knowing what he's thinking: "N-nothing! Just like Sebastian said, nothing happened!"
Rin raises a suspicious eyebrow at me: "Oh come on, you two were locked in here all day, and when I finally open the door you're all close on the bed."
I throw a pillow at him: "I'm serious! Nothing had happened at all..."
He looks unconvinced but nods: "Whatever you say." He laughs walking out of the room.
-- Sebastian's P.O.V. --
I walk into the study and lock myself in, not wanting to be bothered. I sigh walking over to the windowsill and sitting down. It was stupid to let my guard down, but I couldn't help it with the shape that she was in. I shake my head as I gaze out the window. Why'd I have to know so much... If only I didn't know what the future will bring... Maybe I too could be happy.
-- Third Person P.O.V. -- -- Three Days Later --
After a few days Kaika makes a full recovery from her cold. Having been cooped up in her room while she was sick, she decides to go for a walk and get some fresh air after finishing dinner. She puts on her black neko hoodie and heads out, with no particular destination in mind. She ends up at a lake and smiles as she watches as the moonlight bounce off of the waves. She sits down on the shore reflecting on everything that's been going on and she gets lost in her own thoughts. There's been some bad moments, but I guess it isn't always bad getting off routine.
Kaika's thoughts are interrupted by a deep husky voice that she doesn't recgonize.
???: "You seem to have a lot on your mind young lady."
Kaika looks up to see an older man, probably in his early 40s. She shifts a bit uncomfortable but nods confirming what he had said.
Older man: "This is a nice place to think. I've been coming here for years." He paused, "I used to come here with two very good friends of mine, especially when times got rough, the waves are almost mesmorizing. They make you forget your troubles."
He looked at the lake and then back at her and smiled kindly. Kaika looks back to the lake, gazing at it. He is right about that, the waves with the moonlight are so beautiful it's hard to look away from it. The older man turns and starts to walk away without Kaika noticing. He puts his left hand in his pocket and lifts his right waving behind him at Kaika: "Things may seem strange now, but you have special blood runnig through your veins, just remember that Kaika."
"How did you-" Kaika looked up sharply at the sound of her name and began to speak but stopped herself seeing that the was gone and nowhere in sight. "know my name..." She finished her sentence in a low voice confused as to where the man had gone so quickly.
