You know that feeling of waking up with a slight handover and then having to be on a train for hours because your mom enjoys travelling this way? No? Well, let me describe the torture for you.

I could hardly keep my eyes open, and I felt sick to my stomach; Béatrice didn't look so good either.

"I hope this is a lesson for you girls not to drink so much," my mom said as she sipped her tea.

We both growled, and I said, "blame Neymar for an athlete he drinks a lethal amount."

She laughs and says, "and did you guys think you could do the same?"

"We at least had to try," Béatrice said.

This caused both my parents to break out in laughter. Then the serves came in with our food, and we had lunch that helped us feel better.

"So, moving on to more exciting things," my dad started to say, "are you excited to start the internship program next week?"

"Of course!" I enthusiastically responded, "I can hardly wait to work under the guidance of Maria Grazia Chiuri and Kim Jones!"

I went to a fashion university in Paris to become a designer, but I also majored in marketing and business; to follow a bit in my dad's footsteps and start my brand one day. For now, having this internship meant the first step I took to get to that dream.

" Whoa is me; what will I do without you in my free time?" Béatrice asked.

"Continue to be a supermodel and go to parties?" I suggested.

"Ohh yeah," she realised, "then I guess I'll be fine without you."

"Haha," I sarcastically laughed, "as if."

"Guess it's going to be you and me, Mrs Y/l/n," she said, referring to my mom, that worked as a fashion photographer.

"We'll make do without her," my mom said.

"Why are you acting like I'm dying or something?" I asked.

"Because you are a workaholic like your dad," Béatrice explained.

She's not wrong. When I work on something, I submerge entirely into it and make it my main focus.

"But that's why I have you guys to make me rest and relax," I said.

"Will you let us this time?" Béatrice asked. She asked because, during university, I always turned her down.

"Yes," I will, " I promise."

We arrived in Paris, and the drivers waited to take us home. My parents live outside the centre of Paris; for them, the peace and tranquillity beat the city hustle and bustle any day. But I always preferred to be in the middle of it all and, more importantly, near my campus. So I lived with Béatrice in her penthouse in the city.

"We'll see you soon," my mom said as she hugged me.

"Yes, mom," I said, "I'll come home for the weekend."

"That reminds me," my dad said, "I bought us tickets for the game this weekend."

"Who's playing?" I asked.

"PSG vs Lyon," he answers.

"Uhh, count me in. PSG players are the hottest," Béatrice announced.

We all laughed, and I asked, "Does this mean you think Neymar is hot?"

"Of course!" she said proudly, "but he belongs with Bruna and Bruna only."

"It's settled," my dad said, "I will pick you both up on Friday for the first game of Ligue 1."

"Can't wait," I said, "goodbye, guys!"

"Bye!" he said back after hugging us both goodbye.

When we arrived at the apartment, everything was just as organised as we had left it. Béatrice parents owned one of the most successful property development companies, so they had houses almost everywhere in France; she could have picked virtually any apartment in Paris, but I'm glad she got this one because it is gorgeous.

It also had a rooftop where she usually hosts some of the best parties in the summer.

"Feels good to be home," she said as she stretched and laid on the couch.

"For sure," I agreed and joined her on the couch.

"This summer was a lot," she said.

"Ohh, so you admit it?" I giggled.

"Of course, I may be a party person, but even I have my limits," she said.

I laughed and asked, "Then why do the most as we have?"

"To celebrate the fact that one of us is a graduate!" she said cheerfully.

I giggled and said, "in that case, thank you for the best celebratory summer!"

"Je t'ai eu ma fille (I got you girl)", she said.

I hugged her and asked, "but who's cooking tonight?"

"Uber Eats?" she mentioned, and we both nodded hard.

After an afternoon of unpacking, I took my schedule book, began to plan the week I'd have to work and created a proper routine. I wanted to be taken seriously and not seem like my dad gave me this opportunity, and that's why I'm here.

Yes, he did help with my application process, but I got in with my own merits and hard work. I worked in other companies and made sure I was qualified to be at Dior because it is a favourite brand.

I just hope everything goes well.
