Thursday morning, I woke up wrapped in blankets in bed alone. I scanned the room, and no one was there. All I found was a letter.

Good morning, beautiful,
I had to go to practice and did not want to wake you up, but enjoy your day with the girls.

I got up feeling content; I burst open the curtains, and the day was glowing beautifully. The sky and sea were merged, and all you could see was blue.

*phone rings*

"Good morning, girls," I answered.

"Hey!" B said.

"Hello," Bruna greeted, "breakfast in 30 minutes?"

"Meet you guys at the lobby," I said.

They both agreed, and we hung up to get ready.
By the time I was ready, I put my bikini on underneath my clothes just in case.

When I got downstairs, they were already there waiting by the lounge. We talked and decided to have breakfast by the restaurant in front of the beach.

We headed outside, and it was beautiful. The ocean was calm with mellow waves that brought this lovely breeze. The furniture was all white with wooden accents, and the beach had many lounge chairs and blue umbrellas to match the skies.

We took our seats and enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and when we finished, we moved to the lounge chairs to soak up the sun.

"La vie est incroyable en ce moment, (Life is amazing, right now,)" B mentioned.

"You can say that again," I replied.

"First, last night," B began to explain, "now this and later a football match to support my boyfriend. Thank you, Y/n, for introducing me to football."

I laughed and said, "I think you should thank my dad the most; he took us to the game."

"He will definitely be receiving a fruit basket," she mentioned.

Bruna and I laughed. This was the type of thing I've been missing out on for years, and I'm finally glad I was able to give myself these moments. Thanks, of course, to Béatrice and my parents.

"Speaking of boyfriends," Bruna said, "are you guys dating yet?"

"Well, I assume not," I confessed.

"He hasn't asked you?" B asked.

"No," I answered.

They shared a concerned look, and I said, "guys, it hasn't been that long, and may I remind you that we agreed to take things slow."

"We know," B said, "but don't you feel some type of way?"

"Not really," I answered, "I'm just falling for him more and more. I didn't even think about that until you said it."
