The Lost Soul (Toothless x OC) - Completed

Chapter 23

A/n- Yes so guys this will be the last chapter of the book. I know it's sad and that it's finally come to end but its death was postponed a lot and for a while. I will be keeping this chapter as simple as possible mainly because I don't have the energy to re-read the book to get all the facts. I also know once I would start re-reading, I would lose motivation immediately.

I will start this off for when the surprise is in place because this will be a short-ish last chapter.

I lean down, digging my claws into the snow beneath me as I lowered my chest to the floor, arching my lower back to the air, stretching my body. I relaxed my body before doing a light trot over to a pathway I formed. I put my paws together as I pushed some snow to the side, making the pathway a little wider. I turned and pushed my tail fins against some stragglers of snow, and pushed them into the side with the rest of the snow. As I was cleaning up the path, I heard a soft screech in the air.

I glanced up and saw not only my lovely mate, and our kids following him, but I also saw the clan not far behind. I did a small hop into the air as my wings fluttered in excitement to see everyone coming to the party I tried throwing. Once they all landed, I did a small jump and flapped my wings. I flew till I was on a small little hill near where they landed. "Thank you all for coming! I know it is a major risk being out in the open but I believe some if you if not most of you will enjoy what I have planned!" Toothless just looked at me in outer confusion about what I could have planned.

I did a small dive off of the hill, plummeting into the snow pile next to some of the dragons, spraying them with snow. I snickered as they just stood there confused as to what I just did. "Oh, it is so on Queen!" Stormcutter pilled snow onto their tail and flung it at me. I quickly rolled to the side before the snow pile could strike me. I quickly wiped my head behind me to see what got hit just to find out it was my brother. My face formed into playful fear as he huffed and started piling snow onto his tail to return fire.

15 minutes pass

I was now watching the dragons begin a full-on snowball battle, some still in a heated war, otherwise on the side relaxing, some cheering on either team. I glanced over to the sea, starting to get worried the other half wasn't going to arrive to the party, but before my thoughts could cloud my mind I noticed something in the distance. I tilted my head as the fog over the sea was slowly clearing, showing what I thought I was seeing.

Before I could even do it myself, my body began to get up and walk towards the cliff, looking down on the sea. I watched as an Armada started to stop at shore, I would've been worried but I recognized the captain on the main ship. It was Hiccup. Once all the boats were settled into the shore, I could see at least a good hundred people look around confused. I glanced back to make sure nobody had acknowledged my surprise, thankfully they are still focused on each other. I continued to look back at the shore, smirking slightly as my body moved down into a crouched, hunting position. 

Before Hiccup or his tribe could go anywhere, I shot a mini plasma blast down at them. I quickly ducked down after it shot down at their feet. I turned away, doing a mini plasmablast as I walk through it, making my body go invisible. Once I know for sure they won't see me, I pear back over the edge and see that they are in fact, making their way up the cliff. Hiccup leading, Astrid and their kids following closely behind. Their tribe surprisingly not holding any weapons, despite coming to a foreign island with unknown creatures roaming it.

10 minutes pass

The dragon's head began to look to the cliffside in confusion, I can now start hearing the Vikings talking. It's not quite talking either, they're quite loud for being on a foreign island. Before I knew it, I saw Hiccup slowly take a step onto the cliff. He turned around and helped up his kids and wife before actually turning to look behind him. His family paused as his tribe began following behind him. Getting to stable ground, helping behind them, turning, pausing, staring. 

I took the liberty of trotting over to them, Toothless getting up, startled by the sudden appearance of his old friend and his friend's tribe. Once in front of Hiccup, I noticed Astrid tucking her kids behind her out of fear of what I would do next. I closed my eyes, tucking a leg under me while extending my other one forward. I leaned forward, expanding my wings and shaking them. I was immediately recognized by him mainly by my scales but by my actions as well. Once standing back up, I took a step back and he mimicked the action.

He tucked his hand across his torso, leaning towards me in a bow motion as he said. "Hello to you as well Death Star, thank you for the lovely invite." I did a small nod with my head as a you're welcome motion. I turned around to face my clan and roared in excitement "dragons! Your old riders, family, and parents have visited for the party!" They all immediately got up, and practically rushed their respectful Vikings. I jumped into the air, flapping my wings and shooting into the clouds to avoid being hit by any of the dragons in the bunch. 

11 hours, and 47 minutes pass

I have been sitting on a tree branch for the last couple of hours watching and listening to how each dragon interacted. I could almost see how happy and ecstatic each dragon and Viking were to be reconnected. My eyes traced over Stormfly, Cloudjumper, Darkness, Skullcrusher, and my kids, before looking over at the fish pile I gathered. Thankfully I had just enough for the clan and the Viking tribe to have lunch, snack, and dinner. 

Everyone was now more settled down, most of us were watching the sunset and others were crying, knowing once the moon went down. We would leave and most likely would not visit them anytime soon. I did a small hop off of the branch, sadly landing on the ice river right below. My claws dug into the ice in an attempt to help stabilize myself as I slid down the river. I sighed and sat down, slowly sliding across the ice, my eyes connecting with different sets of eyes that happened to look up at this moment.

I glanced over at the sky, noticing the moon was just leveled with the sea, notifying me that it was almost time for the reunion to end. Once I got near the cliff, my body softly hit a pile of snow, allowing me to stand up and walk off the ice. I did a small nod at those I passed heading towards the snowy hill. I could feel every dragon and every Viking's eyes on me as I walked up the small hill and turned to face them. 

I locked eyes with Hiccup and he proceeded to get up, his family following suit. We nodded at each other having a silent agreement it was time to end the party. "Thank you to everyone that showed up, I do hope you were able to bond with your family again and make memories to look back on in the years to come. Night has fallen and this is our best chance to return home safely. Those who need the extra energy, go to the fish pile and eat what's left, we have a long flight ahead of us."

I jumped down from the little hill as Hiccup made a similar speech to mine, they all went to say their final goodbyes before some went to stock up on the energy they needed. I stood at the end of the cliff as it slowly began getting windy. My wings moved with the wind, my tail swayed, and my body relaxed with the cold breeze. Once the dragons were ready, I gave one last nod to Hiccup and his family before I took off to the sky.

Okay, this will just about wrap up the book. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and I hope I ended it well! I said it was going to be short originally but I thought it would've been better to be a little longer to give you guys some peace of mind. There will NOT be a sequel to this book.
