The Lost Soul (Toothless x OC) - Completed

Chapter 1.

You woke up seeing your mother curled around you and your father curled around her. Your brother Darkness, and your sister Midnight are curled next to you. You yawn and get up slightly stretching. You spread out your wings and flap a little waking up your family. You are known as the early dragon, because you always wake up near sunrise or earlier. They wake up and stretch and yawn as you did as well as walk around the little cave you live in. You walk over to the entrance and spread your wings feeling the wind go under them lifting you up a bit. Your father walks past you and licks your head. "I'm going out to get breakfast, anybody want to come learn how to catch fish?" He said in his normal deep voice. We all said "me!" and he just chuckled at us. Our father lead us out of the cave to a nearby river he went to the edge near where the water starts. 

My father has dark as night scales with a white spot on his snout, and a little on his tail fin. He has pure ice blue eyes. My mother has a mix of white and black, she has more black than white. She has white on some of her legs, along with a white spot on her snout leading up to her eye. She has dark green eyes, no where near emerald like my eyes. My older brother Darkness..yes older.. he is pure grey with green eyes. Took the eyes from our mom. Now for Midnight she is also more black than white and she is also older than me, she has icy blue eyes. As well as she has a white spot on her tail fin and a white spot on her front right leg. 

"We want to watch out for the eels though, they mess up our digestive system and taste really bad. They can make us really sick so we will need to try and avoid them." My father spoke to us as we just sat down next to our mother and payed attention, or at least I payed attention. My older siblings were messing around and playing games without caring. "Eels usually have white and black ish brown stripes. They live in the ocean near the shallow part, they usually live in holes or near rocks. So when we go down to the beach or near an ocean make sure to be couscous of where you step." I nodded in response to him telling me different facts about what fish to eat and catch and what to not go near and stay away from. 

()10 minutes later()

We caught a lot of fish and had it in a pile near my mom. My dad and I did all the work for hunting the fish, we caught all types of fish ranging from Rainbow Trout all the way to a few rare, hard to catch fish called Crucian carp. We caught enough fish to last us a week and a few days. I sat down next to my dad proud of our work. He licked my head a few times and said to me "I'm proud of you DeathStar, you're growing up. It's hard to believe you are the runt of the litter" I looked up at him "I only try to be the best I can be!" I said in a cheerful attitude, "and don't you forget it!" he said before I could. I giggled at him, and got up and drank some water. "How are we gonna carry it all back dad?" I said and he smiled his gummy smile at me. (he opened his mouth and retracted his teeth) "I will make your older siblings carry them with us. I giggled at his words, "karma for goofing off!" I said as I turned around.  

()A few minutes later after them trying to talk out of it, then eventually giving up()

We all got the fish and got it all back to the den near the corner of the end of the den. My mother set a fire for us to stay warm and for me. We all divided the fish and since me and dad did all the work I got 2 of the Crucian Carp while my dad got the other two. I went to the fire and cooked my fish slightly except for one of the Carps. We all ate out fish and I took out my claws, I have retractable claws by the way. I sliced my Carp down the middle, "Midnight, Darkness can you come over here please" They both responded with a "sure" once they got to me I turned around and slid them each a half of the Carp and they had a confused look on their face. "Even though me and dad did all the work while you guys goofed off, I still want you guys to have one of the rare fishes in the pond." I gave them a gummy smile notifying that it's okay. They ate it and licked my head as a thanks than sat by the fire. We all curled up letting the fish sit inside of our stomachs.

()two hours later()

I got up and stretched "can I go for a fly?" I asked my dad and he nodded. I took a running start and jumped off of the cliff of the cave entrance. Right before I hit the ground I opened my wings making an effect on the grass and blew some twigs and flowers around. I felt as the wind guided my wings up and down and side to side as I moved my body. I loved the feeling of it, I did cool little tricks as I flew. I went around trees really fast, I went threw thin holes and did a few loops. I dove down towards the water and pulled up making a wave appear behind me as I sore across the ocean. I flew back up and beat my wings hard making me go very high, higher than my older siblings can go. I dove back down and dipped my wing into the ocean creating a little ripple effect in the water. I flew over to this tiny cove next to a waterfall. I layed down and fell asleep behind the waterfall in a little cave. I took a short nap at least an hour long than woke up and headed back to the cave. We hung out and played around for the rest of the day.

()4 years later() ----------------------------

I woke up just as the sun started to rise so I got up and stretched, I went out to the entrance and took a deep breath breathing in the cold, crisp morning air. I turned back around and spread out my wings wide, surprisingly I was actually pretty big for being the runt of my family. I started to flap my big, powerful wings creating a huge gust of wind. I woke up my family and they yawned then we both went over to the river like we usually do and hunted some fish. We finished fishing and ate our fish and me and my brother went to take a fly before we took our nap. We played around in the air doing tricks and shooting at each other. After about 10 minutes we came back to see our mother, father, and sister all dead. We saw blood and arrows all over the cave walls. I gasped loudly and I grabbed Darkness's tail. He looked back with tears in his eyes and I pulled him to the waterfall cave. "The den is surrounded by humans... they killed our family but we have to leave...brother please..." My voice broke mid way from sadness, but not wanting to lose another family member he nodded his head and we flew away from the island. 

()3 hours past()

We finally found an island that looked abandoned, it was mostly covered in trees and didn't show a lot of open areas to get caught. We found a cave hidden and curled around each other and cried each other to sleep. We soon fell asleep in each others wings and tears sliding down our snouts.

Dream~

I flew back to the den and saw my parents dead along with my siblings. "NO!" I yelled and without thinking I flew into the den and when I went to check on them I got surrounded by humans. They pointed their arrows and swords at me. I backed up and curled next to my dead family protecting my head with my wings. I felt a sharp pain in my back and neck as they carved into me. I opened my eyes to see I was in a cage tied to the ground getting cut open and stabbed by random humans. I started to cry, I hated being alone but the pain took over and that's all I could focus on. It seemed like hours until they stopped. I took a deep breath and I looked around to see I'm surrounded by night furries. Some were pure black, some were pure white, some grey some a mix. They all had different eyes and they just shot at me and shook their head, they eyes were filled with disgust and disappointment. "H-Help me! P-Please!" I begged but they just ignored me. "I-I didn't do anything to deserve this!" I cried out, I started to shake as I cried more.

End of Dream

"Star wake up!" I heard a voice yell to me and I kept getting shook than I got up slightly and looked at my brother, his face was filled with worry, and fear. "It was just a dream Star..." he said calm and curled around me wrapping his wing around me protectively. I just layed then nuzzling into him as I breath deeply calming myself. 

From that day on, I kept having nightmares similar to it but they started to stop happening as time went on. My brother and I grew closer than ever and he grew even more protective of me. As for me I grew into depression because of the nightmares. Also because of what happened to us a few hours ago. I put on a fake smile for my brother and other dragons I come across though. I don't want to be forced into answering a bunch of random questions including "are you okay?" or "how are you feeling today?"
