VALENTINA'S POV

I was okay with the new guy before, but now at this point, it's getting annoying.

He hasn't said a single word to anyone, yet he is still the hot topic now, and as if it could get worse, he is in nearly all my classes.

He would always start by sitting in the back next to me and then would be dragged by the jocks or girls of the school over to where they sit, leaving me alone again which is much preferred.

Finally, when it was my next class, I got to see Tyler and Chelsey.

I came into class, but my smile dropped as I see my two friends seated with Francesco.
Trying not to show my dismay I sit down on the other side of the table next to Tyler, again feeling a wavering stare at me. It was almost too familiar to me now.
As class starts, my English teacher comes over to our group and smiles her bright grin.

"Hello guys, I just thought that it would help Francesco if he joined a group that has already started. Is that okay with you all?" she asks lightly, and I reluctantly nod, continuing to do my work but my eyes unconsciously slid to the new boy beside me.

There was something off about him. A feeling that something bad lingers around him.
Who wears a mask and hoodie on a summer day for no reason? Especially on their first day.

I could tell that Chelsey and Tyler were also a bit sceptical about him too, but at least Tyler was trying.

"So, France! I can call you that right?" He said in a cheery tone but only received a cold stare and a slight nod. "What part do you want to work on?" Tyler asks and he looks around the table, his gaze finally fell on me and my work.

"I'll work with her," he says lowly, a pale finger of his pointing to me and I could feel a shiver journey up my spine. What is with him?

Swallowing the suspicion, I ripped out a page of my notebook and told him what to write briefly before going to my work, but all he did was stare at me longer.

As the bell went, all of us besides Francesco practically ran outside of the classroom to lunch.

"Did you see that glare that he gave me?" Tyler groaned out and Chelsey nodded.

"I thought he was going to be hot or something but he's just creepy!" she shivered at the thought of him, and I just nodded not saying anything making the pair turn to me looking confused.

"Do you know why he kept staring at you?" Ty asked and I shook my head still thinking to myself.

"I have no idea why, but he seems familiar to me, I just can't figure out why," I utter quietly but I don't think any of them heard me.

As we got to the table everyone assumed their normal conversation until Francesco once again became the topic. Great.

"Did any of you guys have him in your class? He's so scary!" Chelsey said and I scoffed to myself.

"How is he scary?" I ask with a smile "Creepy is one thing but scary?"

Chelsey looks at me with an annoyed look. "Didn't you feel his aurora? It was so dark and gloomy." She shuddered and I shrugged, taking a bite of my apple.

Looking over the room, I quickly spotted the shady kid and my eyes thinned as I saw who he was with.

Of course, he was with the rugby team. They were laughing loudly and pushing him around until the most popular girl in school, Olivia, approached him.
