First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the love and support given to a book that I had spent so much time on, it means the world.
I love reading comments, I can never get enough of them, meaningful, sad and funny ones all the same 🩷
For the (few) people asking if there will be a sequel or a second book, no! As much as I love this story, I think it's for the best that this book stays a stand-alone book.
And for a late celebration of 200k reads I've decided to give a bonus chapter to the old readers who have this in their archives and the readers who've just finished this book for the first time.
I'll also include a shameless promotion at the end of another book that I have started to write called "Sweet Tooth"
Love you all!

VALENTINA POV
"I love you,"
"Not more than me, Angel"
-
I sigh to myself, thinking of how it was so much more simple back then.
Five years ago I remember.
Two fools, young and in love, a dream come true when they find each other just to get married- which happened surprisingly legally. It felt like a fantasy, kind of like when I became queen of this gang, except the celebration lasted a whole week.
The ceremony was beautiful, Keisha and Quinn being my bridesmaids whilst Xavier and Chris were Francis's. Chris and Francis had grown fond of each other, having more in common than they realised. The wedding was beautiful, though not long enough for Francis, since he was excited for our honeymoon, where Xavier took over the gang for a bit whilst we travelled to Italy and spent much-needed quality time together.
But, coming back to the gang was like a wake-up to reality, the honeymoon phase was over and I was now the partner to a wanted criminal.
This time, it wasn't so much the police that were a problem, but other small gangs bent towards destroying us. It hadn't posed a problem so much as before they started to team up. A smart move, I had to admit, but they didn't counter for one thing, now that Francis and I were together again, we were stronger than ever.
We defeated them within months, a quick end to a scary battle that I had managed to fight in, alongside my friends, and husband. I'd gotten hurt near the end of the feud, a slash to a critical artery, forcing me to retire from fighting, bound to my bed and for that, Francis had flown into a blind rage and saved our gang in record time.
His temper had simmered over the years, but I would still help him every now and then, just like he had helped me rid my reliance on pills, instead, relying on my friends and now family.
There had been highs and lows, some being my lowest points in life.
Finding out that my transformation had caused me to become infertile was heartbreaking. Although I had Francis's constant reassurance and apologies. I couldn't help but feel that I wasn't worthy as a partner, and the fleeting image of little me's running around and memories that I would create- gone.
I dont think I could get out of bed for days after the news but with love provided by the gang and my love, I managed to overcome my grief and believe in myself to do more things, greater things.
I realise that I've grown so much, everything that happened, built me to be how strong I am today, for that, I will always thank Francis.
Now, I lay sprawled in the sun chair on my bedroom's balcony, wings stretched to take up the whole balcony and basking in the hot sun as if I were a bird- which wouldn't be that far off. My mind buzzes with nothing.
