VALENTINA'S POV

What happened last night was still fresh in my mind.
It felt like I was still outside that door, looking into the bedroom.

I don't know how or when Francis got back, frankly; I don't care.
I spent my time in a guest bedroom, but I didn't sleep after that night. When I heard the birds chirping, I looked outside to see that the sun was now rising.

The events of last night ran throughout my head yet again.
I caught them, ran out, cried in the forest, went back home and only told one person about the event of that night.

Stretching my arms, I hopped out of bed and went to what used to be our room. I creaked the door open a bit and saw him sleeping in bed alone, no shirt on. But it didn't affect me anymore.

What I had for him was crippled.

I shut the door and stepped back from the door, strutting down the hallway, I could see some eyes lingering on me, ones that saw me at the party yesterday.

I thinned my lips and walked faster and eventually came to the doctor's room. This was the only way.
I knew that in the room were sleeping drugs, sedatives, needles, and exactly what I needed for what I'm about to do.

It was guarded by a guard with a rifle in hand and I pressed down the lump in my throat. He shouldn't know what happened last night. I dug my nails into my palm, nervously, behind my back.

"Francis sent me to get some sleeping pills since he's having a hard time with the hangover he has," I say sternly the guard looks at me, not an emotion in his eyes and I do the same back to him.

They nod in sync and move aside, allowing me to walk through and get what I needed. I skimmed through the shelves of pills and drugs and looked for the strongest.
Finally, I came along with Rohypnol pills, they were the heaviest kind. and I smiled to myself, rushing out of the room, and thanking the guards.

As I was about to enter the kitchen, I was stopped by Quinn who held me to stop by the hand.

"Hey, Val! What's the rush?" she says with a smile, and I could feel the pain in my heart growing rapidly.

"Uh, I-I'm getting some hangover soup for Francis, he had a rough night last night." I chuckled dryly but she just looked me up and down suspiciously.

"The guards there said you left early?" She said but I remain my composure, although I was freaking out on the inside.
"Yes, that's why I want to do this for him," I smile, and she nods with the same expression and that's when I couldn't hold back and hugged her suddenly.

I could feel she was surprised, but she hugged me back. "What is it?" Quinn asks and I shake my head, quickly releasing her from the hug.
"Nothing."

I wait a moment before I look her in the eyes. "Bye."

Turning away, I practically sprinted away from her, leaving her alone and probably confused. I let a breath in as I entered the kitchen, inhaling the delicious smells. I went to a chef and asked for a hangover soup that was prepared within minutes.

Thanking the chefs and walking out of the room, I walked to the room, bowl in hand and place it on the coffee table in front of his bed.

He wasn't in it, so I assumed he was outside of the room.

Setting the bowl aside, I popped the pills out of their packet and crushed them up until they were white powder.
He will probably be back at any second.
