3RD PERSON'S POV

Keisha and Chris watched on in horror as they saw their friend falls limp onto the floor. Her wing bent oddly, not that she would've felt it.

The two guards that used to have her in grasp reinstated that and dragged her out of the room, her head rolling to the side as she was brought out of the room, Nala gasping as she is dragged unconscious.

Leila walks out of the room too, not daring to say a word to anyone, anger spread on every inch of her face.

Chris holds Keisha's shoulders firmly as she tries to run after Valentina. She cries and yells at the policeman who walks off without a flinch or fault in his evil smile. Nala nodded to the superior officer as he strutted past her, leaving the trio alone.

Nala looks at the two who looked flabbergasted, but they soon recovered as they realised that there was still someone there. They bowed their heads to hide their sadness, but she'd already seen it.

"A girl like her doesn't deserve what's happening to her," Nala said lowly making the two look up in surprise.

"She doesn't." Keisha chuckles dryly and it was silent.

The air was getting thick with tension as they stared at each other, not knowing what to say because both knew something was brewing until Nala turned and closed the door.

"So, what are we going to do about that?"

VALENTINA'S POV

My head was poundings. It made me groan as I opened my eyes. The thoughts of what happened slash through my mind, and I get off my bed but fall to the floor from my weakness. I roll from my front to back, my vision was blurry, and the ceiling swayed for minutes until it was finally stable and I could get up without falling to my knees.

I try to move my hands around and help myself balance, but they're chained behind my back with thick metal that I'm unable to break off. No doubt the cause of that officer.
That bastard.
The only decency he had was to unchain my wings.

Head still throbbing, I look at my surroundings and see that I'm still in my cell except there's no more rag that was my so-called blanket and the small window allowing me to see outside my door was blocked off so there was no way for me to communicate with the outside.

I scoff at myself and pace around the room restlessly. Now I was awake from the sedative, my body was bursting with adrenaline, and I knew where to focus it. Stopping my pacing, I turn to the metal door and as the blood pulses through my veins, my wings spread from my body wildly as I charge for the door.

It dents a little but that wasn't enough to satisfy me. I run at the door over and over, eventually making a large dent in the middle and tilting it off its hinges. My breaths were heavy, and they filled my ears as I inhale and exhale deeply.

The wind rushes past me again as I charge repetitively but I stop as I hear something from the other side of the door.

Grunts were being yelled out and there were a pair of breaths. I stare at the door with confusion as there is a loud gunshot sounded through the hallway before I hear a body drop to the floor with a crash.

I step back as someone goes towards the door handle and removes all the locks and the door swings open.

I close my eyes tightly to brace for the impact of the intruder, but it goes silent as the door bangs to the side.
