VALENTINA'S POV"Shit, is she breathing?"
"I don't know, maybe shake her?"
Who are these voices? I shift ever so slightly and feel the presence of two or possibly more people. They were tense and I could hear the hint of fear in their voices made me feel more reassured.
I squinted open my eyes slightly, barely being able to see past my eyelashes but once I do, I shoot up making the said woman and man back away from the opening immediately.
The side of my hip throbs as I get up but I ignore it and look around and take in my surroundings, to see that I was still in the police car, but it had stopped moving in and looking out a small barred window, it was breaking dawn and we had arrived at a precinct.
I take a crouched step out of the car and stumble in pain, making people back away from me as I glare out of agitation. I held the, now scar, which was still aching with pain as I follow the police into the precinct, feeling everyone's eyes on me.
As I stepped in, everyone stopped talking and turned to me. Most of them were armed with guns, and I could see nearly all of their hands wavering over them.
I chuckle under my breath until a throat was cleared and I looked at the woman. My face straightens as I see the same commander from last night. I nod slightly and step forward to her briskly, but she doesn't even blink at my action."Miss Collins, please follow me to the change room, there will be bandages and a change of clothes," she informs and gestures to a room.
Stepping forward, I put my cuffed hands out and she complied and takes my handcuffs off, making many policemen around me shuffle in their spots, but I pay no attention to them.
As I stepped in the door closed behind me and I was alone, But there was no way to get out, not even a window or bars.
No mirrors, so there was no chance of being watched and I finally let out a long sigh.I could feel the events of last night flashing in my mind rapidly and I stumbled from the overflowing thoughts and lean on the table in front of me.
I have to control myself.
There was no way I was going to let anyone see a weak side of me.
Looking down at the table in front of me, there was an orange jumpsuit and a pair of new thick black boots and beside them, there were two rolls of bandages.
With my now free hands, I release my wings of their restraints and spread them to their whole span, filling the whole room. They wither in relief from the freedom as I get the bandages to wrap around my hip to waist tightly and it didn't hurt so bad, due to my abnormal healing it hurts slightly as my wings inclose over my waist.
I put the overalls on, not even questioning how they know my exact size- for my shoes too.
As I finished, leaving my wing unbound, I open the door quickly making some policemen flinch but I ignore them and step towards the lady's dark gaze which I had grown familiar with.
"What's next?" I ask, shuffling in my spot as everyone's eyes are on me.
She looks at me, all seriousness in her eyes and directs me down so many hallways, I lose track of where to go to escape but I would get more chances to revise when I walk around. But I knew where I was going once I exited the precinct to go to the next building over and entered the next.
As I'm guided to walk past the female section of the prison and I could feel the power from some women radiating off, but it withers once I glance at them.
