VALENTINA'S POVIt was the next morning and I couldn't contain my excitement.
I had woken up with the sun even though I went to sleep at midnight and was waiting for Francis to come in all day.
I waited patiently on my bed with my legs crossed as my eyes were held on the door. I hadn't been worried about what I looked like, so I left my long blonde hair out as it draped on the silk night dress I had on. I immediately sprinted off it as the door clicked.
I stood frozen in position as Francis's head popped in, with a plate of toast but no phone in sight. I was scanning all over his body but I became lost in thought as I saw what his wearing.
It was a white dress shirt, unbuttoned showing some of his bare chest and black pants that matched his wings, they were now visible and folded neatly on his back, he had a gold necklace loosely wrapped around and God, did he look good
I mentally slap myself for thinking such a thing. Francis cleared his throat and I looked up at his smug face and saw that he was now holding the phone. I ran forward to go grab it, but just as I did he pulled his arm up so that I couldn't get it, even when I jumped. Francis was holding back his laughter only making me more determined but failed as he shoved the phone in his pocket and instead gave me the cereal, making me frown.
"Eat this and then we will call her," he ordered, and I nodded, quickly taking the breakfast and scoffing it down quickly.
It took me a minute to eat it and when I sat down on the bed and he brought the phone into view, my heart beat fastened. Placing it in front of me, I could see that there was her number already dialled and ready to press call, but I got stopped in my tracks.
"Where did you get her number from?" I asked, raising an eyebrow, and looking to my right to see him shrug, wearing a sly smile.
"Sources," he snickered making me scoff, before returning my attention to the phone.
"And remember, put it on speaker phone, no talking about where you are or who you're with, and you're allowed 3 minutes at maximum.
I nodded at the rules, and I reached out to the green icon shown on the screen, next to her number.
Deep breaths. Deep breaths.
I pressed it.
KEISHA'S POV
It's been over a week since Valentina disappeared. Yes- disappeared.
Everyone believes she's dead, even Chris, but I know she's not.
After the fire was put out by the fire brigade, they searched for bodies and only found the night guards, the prisoners, barely in contact but still there. They never found Valentina's body, and they say that the fire must've burnt her to a crisp, but she definitely would've left her trace; I know it!
The good thing is, is that they are all moving us to a different psychiatric hospital, so no one will be put out of their job. Even better is that I get a break for 2 weeks before I go back, meaning I get more time to look at Valentia's 'closed' case.
I need her back, she's one of the most important people in my life and I couldn't bare for anything to happen to her. But if she's alive, why hasn't she contacted me? And I need more information so I'm typing away questions to follow up on but was interrupted as a loud vibration was sounded by my phone next to me.
I pick the phone up and saw it was 'No Caller ID' but I answered nonetheless.
"Hello, this is Keisha Bellor," I stated as I answered.
