The broadcast about something going on in Nevada took even Dave by surprise, since it has been awfully peaceful and there weren't many jobs for mercenaries. However, Dave did not question it and since it was the higher authorities who told Dave to go then he shall not question the higher authorities, which was why as soon as they finished the meal they went back to the manor to pack and get ready for the trip.
Dave gathered everyone together and told them : "Now, since Nevada is quite far from here we will be taking an teleporter there, Jam, you go and boot up the teleporter, I will tell you where to in a second." Dave looked at Jam while saying this, he nodded and went to get the teleporter working. Dave turned back to everyone else, "This mission might be the hardest we have ever encountered, so I want all of you to give your best effort. Clear?" Everyone nodded and went to prepare themselves.
Dave hurried and packed his things, which consists of a rather pretty looking revolver, a few variants of combat knives, including a butterfly knive, a kunai, and many other kinds of knives.
Dave finished packing and looked at what everyone else was packing, Jam was packing a lot of mechanical parts and machines, Prodigy was packing up fire axes, flamethrowers and a lot of raw meat. Jalea packed a lot of medicine and syringes, Zak packed grenades, M79 ammo and a large amount of cheap whisky. Peep and Force volunteered on joining this mission, and Force is packing some food for Peep and DBS ammo while Peep was summoning unlimited cotton candy and sniper rifle ammo. Mochi simply packed some M16 ammo and SPAS-12 ammo, he also brought a cup to summon unlimited hot chocolate.
Fifteen minutes later everyone was done packing and gathered in the living room, Dave looked at everyone and felt like this was a fifth grade camping trip. He smiled slightly but became solemn at once. "Alright everyone, the teleporter is in the backyard, Prodigy will go first, then everyone else may go" Explained Dave, everyone agreed on this plan except Prodigy "Wait, why am I going in first" Prodigy said grumpily, "Prods, it's because you are the only one that can get shot multiple times without a scratch on your body" Dave said, Prodigy just grunted and walked through the portal without another word.
A few minutes has passed and Prodigy still didn't come back through the portal, Dave was getting worried for his brother, so he went inside the portal himself. He went through the portal and walked into what he assumed to be literal hell. There were fighting everywhere, gunshots could be heard from all distances and Dave was pretty sure Prodigy was somewhere in this chaos, still alive and fighting. Dave hurried back through the portal and told everyone to jump through and help fight.
Right after everyone jumped through the portal it was forcefully closed by a mystical force. Jam was baffled and went to try and fix the teleporter with no luck, Jam swore loudly, which caused Force to cover Peep's ears with a real look of being offended. "There isn't time to fool around!" Dave yelled at everyone, getting their attention. "We are in a battlefield so I suggest we start treating it like one!" Dave finished yelling, pulled out his revolver and charged down to attack, everyone followed.
It was madness, complete madness. Jalea was shooting syringes at everyone, allies and foes. Jam built a sentry and went back to the teleporter to build a temporary base. Dave and Force were both at the frontline killing enemies without them noticing, while Mochi was sabotaging the enemy defense. A 15ft version of Prodigy could be seen in the distance fighting someone who was 14 ft tall, and holding a shotgun with 2 metal pipes stuck in their head. Zak was just blowing up crowds of people wearing red sunglasses and holding random weapons.
After a while the battle ceased, the enemies recognized defeat and retreated, except for the 14ft tall giant, who was still fighting Prodigy with little luck, the 14ft tall giant was forced down by Prodigy and passed out, meaning this was a victory for "The Gang". Dave joined in the celebration with everyone else, but he was sure that this wasn't the last time they will see those people...
