Undiluted chaos

Chapter 6 - Unexpected Alliances

The first night went by without any more disturbing moments, Prodigy spent the night patrolling the area to make sure there weren't any enemy spies or scouts. After a while Prodigy found nothing and went back for a quick nap, he was, however, not aware of the dark entity (Auditor) glaring at him up in the air.

"He would be interesting to possess..." said the Auditor, he slowly floated down while observing Prodigy ,then decided to attack Prodigy's mind while he is asleep. The Auditor entered Prodigy's mind when suddenly, Prodigy woke up. Prodigy knew that there was something trying to possess him as he tried his hardest to prevent that from happening. However his resistance was futile as the Auditor quickly entered his mind. In an last attempt to get rid of the auditor Prodigy took out a rocket from Lucas and blew himself up, getting rid of both himself and Auditor.

The Auditor exited his body barely in time and was slightly injured, he frowned and left quickly before anyone else come to investigate. But no one woke up as the night fell and the morning began. Dave and Jalea woke up first and went outside to look for Prodigy, when they saw the bloody pile that Prodigy has now become. Neither of them flinched due to the fact that Dave was a literal flesh monster and Jalea has dealt with way worse. Dave quickly restored Prodigy's body while Jalea inserted a syringe into Prodigy's heart, making it beat again.

A little while later Prodigy woke up, "W-what happened..." he said in his cold voice, Dave looked at Prodigy and replied, "before I say anything, I must ask you another question : How was I created?" Prodigy thought for a moment, then said simply "It was Kristie" Dave nodded and told Prodigy that they woke up to his dead remains.

"Yea I know that, some sort of entity tried to take over my body but I refused. So I had to blow myself up." Prodigy shook his head, fearful of what he would become if there wasn't a explosive device nearby. " Why did you revive me anyways, I am capable of regrowing and reviving myself." Dave pointed at the pot. "We are making food, and we can't do that with our only source of fire being dead on the floor, plus there's still Peep that we have to take care of."

Prodigy got up and brushed some guts off him, he then went back to start a fire for Dave. Dave went through some food and decided on sandwiches, they were easy to make and packed many important nutrition (not sponsored). Dave took some bacon and a frying pan, he then began to make bacon. The smell of bacon seems to have woken everyone else, and one by one everyone started to walk out of their tents.

"That smells nice!" Lucas said as he walked outside his tent, while Jam was still transformed into a cat, asleep on top of Lucas's head. Jalea made some coffee for himself while Mochi drank some hot chocolate to keep himself warm. Prodigy was sitting near the fire, awfully quiet. Peep was running circles around Zak while Hilde accepted some coffee from Jalea.

A while later Dave made a sandwich for everyone except Mochi , since Mochi didn't need to eat and their food supply was limited. Mochi didn't seem to mind as he sipped on hot chocolate and looked at everyone else eat sandwiches. Prodigy finished his sandwich in 1 bite and went to prepare himself for combat. Little while later everyone else finished their sandwich, except for Peep, who only finished half of it and was to full to continue, so Dave gave the remaining bit of sandwich to Prodigy, who finished it really quickly.

Everyone got armed for intense combat, since after what they went through yesterday, they were way to under prepared for what nevada had to offer. Prodigy wore some blast proof armor, making him much more of a literal tank than a human being. Dave brought invisibility devices for himself, Jam upgraded his sentry gun so that it turned into armor for Jam. Lucas and Zak stocked up on rockets and Jalea brought some lethal syringes for his syringe gun. Mochi and Hilde both decided that some normal gun ammo would be enough while Peep took the helmet from yesterday and shielded himself with it.

They went with rock paper scissors and decided to leave Jam and Mochi in the base, Jam could build defensive turrets and work on the portal while Mochi could float around and not get shot, so if something went wrong he can inform everyone else. Jam built several defensive turrets and then activated the force field once everyone was out of the shield's range. He then worked on the portal, which appears to be broken from within, while Mochi floated around listening for any problems.

Soon after Jam wasn't able to hear Mochi's humming, he got worried and deactivated the force field to come outside and look, he took a pistol and walked outside, big mistake. As soon as Jam walked out of the range of the shield 3 man jumped out of the bushes and aimed their guns at him. One of the man was wearing red sunglasses and ninja like hood. Another wears a bandanna and black sunglasses with a weird looking chin. While the third man had a jacket and some sort of headgear.

"H-hello..." Jam was scared, he dropped his pistol and stumbled backwards. While they aimed their guns at Jam, slowly advancing. Conveniently, Mochi came back, and aimed his pistol towards the others, when one of the man suddenly started to speak " I don't want to harm any of you, just tell us why you and your team are here." it was said by the man wearing the jacket. Jam and Mochi looked at each other, and decided to tell the truth " We don't know, Dave, one of our friends, received a broadcast about a package here that we had to retrieve. I'm in the campsite because the portal that summoned us here isn't working due to some error." 

The three man looked at each other, huddled up to discuss something, then dropped their guns "Alright, we trust you" said the man wearing a jacket. "My name is Deimos, this." He pointed at the sunglasses man with the weird chin. "is my friend Sanford, and the other man is called Hank."
