Noah

March

~~~
The calm before the storm.
That's what it felt like. Everything was silent, everything was still. No one was moving; nothing was happening.
That's how Noah  knew, he had lost Dixie completely.
From the first second he saw her, he knew he had to watch out, she was bound to steal his heart with one glance.
She was the storm on the horizon. His mistake was spending all the time anticipating the fall, instead of cautioning himself for it.
He didn't recognize his failure until it was too late. He was too far gone.
People say storms come silently, and they're right.
She wasn't his. And he didn't think she would ever be. At least not now.
But he can't help but wish to be lying in her arms again, he wishes to feel her breath on his skin and her kiss on his lips, her sweet scent filling his nose.
He closed his eyes and felt the wind against his solid form, and he imagined she was next to him.
She's going to kill me, he thought, she's going to commit murder and kill me and the worst part is she won't even know about it.
But right now, it's just the calm before the storm.
