Dixie & Noah

December

~~~
Dixie stands in front of the love of her life, her true love, and the one she believes to be her soul mate, as he fiddles with his suitcase and carry on backpack.
She couldn't leave it like the way she did. She couldn't let him just walk out of her life and not come back. She'd hate herself forever if she didn't just try.
She fiddles with the hem of her sweater until she gathers the courage to walk closer to him.
Dixie walks towards him, slowly coming closer to him, admiring the black knit beanie on top of his short locks of black.
He notices her and looks up, to the girl he's loved since he first laid eyes on her. His eyes were a beautiful innocent shade of blue, as they always were, but when their eyes met, they were a reflection of each other. Broken, confused, and lost. Her chocolate brown eyes meet his steely hazel eyes, and the earth meets the sea.
Dixie and Noah stand there for a moment, not glancing a single time at the commotion of the airport around them, only keeping their eyes on each other
"Hey, Noah." She says, softly. Her eyes flash with an emotion that is unrecognizable.
"Hey, Dix." He says, heart full with emotion and excitement to be seeing her gorgeous brown eyes and freckles one last time. "What are you doing here, Dix?"
Dixie hesitates. She's selfish for even thinking about it, and she knows that. Can she really do this? Can she really convince him to stay? Was it worth risking everything for?
"Plane 306, going to Las Vegas, Nevada is now boarding." The intercom says. Dixie knows that it's his plane and it's now or never.
Before she backs out, she starts her speech.
"I don't want to lose you." The words that had been burning inside her for so long, finally come to the surface. "I love you. I love everything about you. I love your messy hair, even though you hate it. Walking away from me, you're taking all the happiness in the world with you. I'm bursting at the seams with things I've been wanting to say. I know it's a great opportunity but... Please, just don't go. Stay with me, I love you and I have always loved you, and I will love you till the day I die. You're everything to me, and I don't think my little heart could take it if I lost you again. Please, I'm begging you with everything in me, Noah."
Dixie stood there, waiting to hear what he was going to mutter next.
"I have to go, I have a plane to catch."
