When I found Andrea under a outdoor table she was sobbing angrily and pounding on the table, cursing my brother's name.
Well won't this be a lovely chat.
"Hey Andrea, what's wrong?" I asked, taking a seat next to her. The sun had set a while back, since it was getting late and our only source of light was a little lamp that illuminated the aide of the building.
She sighed before raising her head," Your brother is an idiot."
"I know but there's nothing we can do about that. Trust me, we've tried."
"I just- let's get out of here. I can't stand being here right now," she said, picking up her purse and standing up.
I followed her, unsure of where we were going exactly but knowing that neither one of us wanted to keep going on this "date".
After walking in silence for about twenty minutes Andrea turned towards me, obviously still upset.
"Why were you leaving when you found me by the way?" She asked curiously.
"Carter turned out to be an ass like you said he'd be. I caught him making out with Amber despite his protests of her coming onto him. So I did the logical thing and dumped a plate of spaghetti on him and shoved Amber into the chocolate fountain," I explained casually, turning not to let it seem as though what had happened had fazed me.
You know it still hurt though, I thought.
Tears clouded my vision but I didn't allow them to spill over my lashes. I wasn't going to let them get the better of me and make me some petty little girl.
"Well, I'd say I told you so but I don't want to anymore, come here," Andrea said, taking me in her arms for a hug. I sobbed for a few seconds before pulling away. "We're just a beautiful sight huh? Two teenage girls wandering around the streets alone at night with make up running down their faces? God, we need to start getting back to the rooms."
"Yeah I guess. Should we go back to the restaurant? " I asked, looking to see where we were.
"No way, I am not dealing with Jake right now and if I see Carter I'll probably stab his eyes out," Andrea muttered, her eyes on her phone. "I'll just call Claire and Matt and see if either of them can pick us up. "
Nodding I watched as she lifted the phone to her ear. I stood under the lampost, feeling the breeze move the skirt of my dress. I closed my eyes for about twenty seconds before Andrea let out a string of curses.
"No don't you dare die now! Matt can you hear me? We're on Washington- Damn it! " Andrea kicked a brick wall before sliding her back down it, sitting on the ground defeated. "My phone died, and I don't know where we are we wandered too far from the group."
My eyes widened taking in her words. I had left the phone Logan gave me in the room, afraid of losing it before I figured out how to use it.
As if our night couldn't get any worse, it started pouring down rain.
"Really! You couldn't have waited? Fuck it!" Andrea shouted from her spot on the ground. Groaning she asked," Now what do we do?"
"Well, we could sit here and wait for someone to pass by? I mean Matt knows that we're, you know, gone and it can't take the rest of the group long figure it out either. So maybe we should keep walking or stay here?" I suggested, grabbing Andrea's hand and helping her up.
"We should keep walking, find a building that will let us use the phone and call Matt. Besides, who knows what creeps will pass by where we were." She stated, blowing a strand of hair from her face.
