There's a certain feeling that you experience when you're nearing the end of something you worked for for so long.

That was what we were all experiencing as Katherine announced the weeks theme.

"Alright guys, so this is the last round as you all know. First place gets the cash and record deal, second place gets a pat on the back," she laughed but bit her nail as she did.

"This week's theme is nostalgia. A song that makes you think of better, or worse times. We're trying to hit the audience with something they won't forget," James said.

"So good luck to you all, we'll see you at rehearsals."

Nostalgia.

A sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.

The only past I get nostalgic over is my father and when he was still around. Other than that my life had always been a tragic mishap until recently. Jake's life was practically identical to my own, he said he had no happy memories to sing about.

Andrea's past haunted her and still does. Logan practically hates remembering his past because it hurt so much.

So what the crap are we gonna do now?

Okay so maybe we don't need to talk about our past. We can just, think of something everyone gets nostalgic over.

Disney.

"So you want us to sing a Disney song? As our final song on this show? " Andrea asked, tapping her pen against her chin.

"Well, not necessarily but if it comes to it, then yeah."

"Okay, fine. I'm going to check YouTube to see if there's any good ideas there." Jake said, turning on Andrea's laptop. "Hey do you guys have any idea who Ruth B is? She wrote a song called Lost Boy and I mean, c'mon who doesn't get nostalgic over Peter Pan stuff?"

"How about we listen to it first before we get too excited?" I said, grabbing my song journal. I'd attempted to write music before we performed for the last time but unfortunately was distracted by a certain brown haired beauty.

Myself.

As Jake pressed play the rest of us gathered around to watch the lyrics pass by on the screen.

"There was a time when I was alone nowhere to go and no place to call home."

Perfect.

As I looked pass the curtain backstage I felt a thrill of excitement and a surge of fear go through me. We were dressed in our costumes and Andrea and Jake were still sitting in the swivel chairs, getting their makeup done.

I was dressed in an outfit that could be considered a lost girl, expect for the fact that I have legs the length of skyscrapers which ruins the whole, "childlike" aura. Andrea looked like Tinkerbell, her hair being done specifically to resemble the iconic character and her green dress bringing out her eyes. The guys were given a simple messy, wilderness look, Jake somehow managing to resemble Jeremy Sumpter in his young teenage years.

Before we all set out and gave our final performance on this stage, the judges spoke with us. Katherine actually looked a bit tearful as James spoke.

"Now, this is the final round. It all comes down to this performance. You've all shown us your hardest work and now we want you to know that these past few months have been amazing for all of us."
