Rekindle

For the past weeks, Sunoo felt his guard slowly going down around Sunghoon. He slowly felt that something was missing whenever Sunghoon was not around. His heart would even skip a beat whenever he would see Sunghoon and that same warmth he felt before started to comfort him. He started to feel at ease talking about him, and whenever Sunghoon's around.

One time, after school Ni-ki approached him.

"Sabay ba tayo uwi later?" Ni-ki asked him.

"With Sunghoon?" Sunoo replied absent-mindedly.

"Uh.." Ni-ki was surprised to hear Sunoo saying Sunghoon's name, he just smiled and agreed "Sure..."

"What?"

"Wala." Ni-ki smirked.

Another time, Jungwon and Sunoo were in the rest room freshening up.

"May lip balm ka dyan?" Jungwon asked.

"Yep... wait..." Sunoo replied as he took out a small pouch from his bag and started scrambling inside.

"Ay yan, yan! Gusto ko yan. Yung Burt's Bee."

"Ay wag to... bigay sakin ni Hoon to..." Sunoo said without batting an eyelash, "Oh eto, Carmex."

Jungwon just looked at Sunoo suspiciously.

"What?" Sunoo asked.

"Wala..." Jungwon smiled.

Another instance was with his Aunt.

"'Nak, kain na tayo."

"Ay sige po..." Sunoo answered and went to the dining, when he saw the dishes on the table he couldn't help but exclaimed, "Wow!!"

"Your fave." Sunoo's Aunt smiled.

"Bigay ni Hoon??"

"Ay no, luto ko yan."

"Ay okay..." Sunoo replied, trying to hide his disappointment.

"Kelan daw ba sya ulit pupunta dito?" Sunoo's Aunt asked him.

"Baka bukas po ata."

"Ahhhh..." Sunoo's Aunt uttered, teasingly.

"Bakit po?"

"Ah wala, wala." Sunoo's Aunt smiled.

Also one morning while he was on duty. Jay came and approached him.

"Hi friend... good morning."

"Yow, anong atin?"

"Nakalimutan ko magcharge, patext naman ako please."

"Huh? Okay..." Sunoo answered hesitantly.

As Jay started texting, he noticed something on Sunoo's phone, "Uy, cute naman nito..."

"Huh?"

"Eto... pogi ng display icon ni Hoon dito sa contacts mo." Jay chuckled.

"Ahhhh... ehhh... ummm... sya pala tetext mo? Akala ko si Wonie. Matagal na yan. Di ko lang napalitan."

"Ahhh ganun ba? Parang eto lang din yung selfie nya kahapon eh."

"What?" Sunoo blinked.

"Wala..." Jay smiled.

Also when Jay, Jake, Jungwon and Sunoo were hanging out in the cafeteria.

"Hay, nakakamiss din si Hee noh?" Jake said.

"Oo nga eh. Enjoy siguro yun ngayon sa work nya. Palaging busy eh." Jay answered.

"Kelan daw sya makakauwi?" Jungwon asked.

"Di pa nga nag-aanim na buwan dun gusto mo na agad umuwi?" Sunoo laughed.

"Uy! Si Hoon ba yun?" Jay suddenly asked, looking far ahead.

"Asan?" Sunoo quickly asked and looked around.

"Ay, hindi pala... pareho lang ng bag." Jay grinned.

"Ay okay..." Sunoo said softly.

"Sorry to disappoint. Mamaya pa tapos practice nun." Jake teased.

"Ay oo nga pala, five pa pala yun matatapos." Sunoo nodded.

"Wow, alam na alam ahhh." Jake commented.

"What?"

"Wala..." Jake smiled.

Sunoo may not admit it but the fire that died out when Sunghoon left was rekindling and this time it's more intense than before but he doesn't feel scared anymore.
