The group met at a coffee shop for a quick breakfast before their long drive to the beach resort. Sunoo was with Jay and Jungwon, while Heeseung tagged along with Jake.

Sunghoon, as what Jake told them, would go directly to the resort. Jungwon nudged Sunghoon, smiling. "See, diretso na daw sya dun. Feeling ko magpiprep sya.... ihhhh kilig ka?"

"Baliw. Na-eexcite tuloy ako na kinakabahan." Sunoo giggled.

"Don't overthink kasi. And knowing Sunghoon, he loves giving surprises."

After breakfast they went on their way.

They rented a villa with three rooms, each with two beds. Heeseung and Jake would room together and of course, Jay and Jungwon, and Sunghoon and Sunoo.
Sunghoon wasn't there yet when they arrived and they all settled in and freshened up before lunch.
Sunoo was a little bit fidgety because Sunghoon wasn't there yet. He wanted to text or call him but he knew that Sunghoon won't reply nor answer his call and he wouldn't want to bother him either in case he's driving.

A spread of delectable seafoods was prepared for their lunch. Sunoo smiled and remembered when Sunghoon brought him a seafood platter before.

"Uy may naalala." Jungwon teased when he saw Sunoo smiling.

"Haha! Baliw."

"Baka eto na yung pa-surprise nya. Haha!!"

"Pa-surprise nino?" Jay asked curiously.

"Wala! Chismoso!" Jungwon snapped.

"Ako kaya nagpa-prepare nito." Jay said, pouting.

"Weh??"

"Oo nga! Haha..." Jay laughed, "Bakit, akala mo sino?"

"Ahhh... wala." Jungwon replied, furrowing his eyebrows. He side-eyed Sunoo who wasn't able to hide his disappointment.

Sunoo was hoping that Sunghoon prepared this for them. A simple gesture but an assuring thought that everything's okay.
Still Sunoo couldn't help thinking that something's going on but he's hoping that it's nothing serious. Plano nya pa naman sagutin na si Sunghoon. That thought made him smile again.

"Oh, Sunghoon texted..." Jake said out loud and carefully added, "He'll be late daw."

"Bakit daw?" Heeseung inquired.

"May emergency lang daw."

"Oh anong nangyari?" Heeseung asked.

"Wait natin reply nya." Jake answered. Sunoo was on the edge of his seat and couldn't even touch the food in front of him.

After a few seconds, "Ahhhh, something came up lang daw. Nothing serious and he'll be here asap." 

"Ahhhh baka may mga last minute something pa for the paandar nya. Hihi." Jungwon joked.

"Huh? Anong paandar?" Jay asked.

"Malay ko dyan sa kaibigan nyo. Pero feeling ko may pa-surprise yan sa palalabs nya."

"Ay oo nga. Tama... naks!" Jay agreed.

"Natahimik ka Jake... may alam ka ba?" Heeseung asked when he noticed how Jake seemed anxious.

"Huh? W-wala, wala... ha ha... kain na tayo..."

"Bes, alam na.." Jungwon said to Sunoo, "Hehe ready mo self mo mamaya. Obvious na obvious. Hahaha!"

For the rest of the afternoon, the boys went swimming except for Sunoo. He opted to read a book by the pool and tried to calm his nerves. It's almost 6pm but there's still no sign of Sunghoon.

Jay and Jake made a bonfire while Heeseung was fixing his guitar. Jungwon and Sunoo set the chairs up and prepared the fruit platter, smores and sausages. Sunoo kept checking his watch and was always looking at Jake hoping that Sunghoon updated him or something.

Dusk came and still no Sunghoon.

The boys started sharing funny stories around the bonfire while Heeseung played the guitar for sound effects or as a bgm whenever someone was telling a story.

Jake's phone buzzed on top of the cooler which alerted Sunoo and he immediately looked at Jake. "Ummmm... Bukas na lang daw susunod si Hoon."

"Oh? bakit daw?" Jay asked, worried.

"I don't know.." Jake asnwered, disappointed and anxious and tensed.

Jungwon looked at his bestfriend who was trying his best to hide his disappointment. "Okay ka lang?"

"Yeah..." Sunoo smiled, sadly.
