Finding Friends- new and old

They were inside the launch area, hotwiring the jet the Hydra agents had flown down in. The ship seemed to be the main base at the moment. If they could destroy that, they could destroy Hydra.

Bucky pulled her over to one side and spoke to her in a low voice.

"When we get back, you are going to explain what the hell happened back there." It wasn't a question.

"Of course. We just have to find my sister."

They had found two qualified pilots, thankfully.

Bucky, although insisting he could fly, had never had any actual lessons, nor any qualifications, so his offer of flying was [dis]respectfully declined.

Soon they were in the upper atmosphere, making preparations to dock in the ship. That was the problem with the green glowy craters, they were quite easy for anyone to land in, and quite difficult to defend. So although they looked nice, it was not the best choice of designs.

They were in the dock, filing off the jet. There were a lot of archway doors to choose from, so they split up and went off in different directions.

Through Kiki's door, there was a split in the path. She could see up one fork, there were two guards standing in front of a door. That must be the bridge. She went in the other direction.

Solana had to be there somewhere. Kiki had been searching for a good five minutes.

There were so many fucking cells on this ship. How did they ever find anything?

She was opening doors almost at random, since some had been propped open, probably to help with ventilation or something. They seemed to only open from the outside: from the inside it would be impossible. Stupid system. Anyone could come and let people out.

There was no one in any of the cells. What was the fucking point of having so many if they never used them.

Kiki screamed in frustration and kicked open one last door. Inside this one was a girl, very pretty, and obviously bored.

"Jeez girl, chill." She said from where she was sat on the floor. "Are you looking for someone, or just being strange? I could hear you from down the hall."

"Yes, I'm looking for Solana. Do you know her?"

"Ah. Yeah, I know where she is. I'll take you to her. I'm Nova, by the way."

"Kiki."

"Lovely to meet you, Kiki. Let's go."

Once she was out of her call, Nova headed back the way Kiki had just come.

"That way only leads to the dock and the bridge, and I've already checked all the cella along there." Kiki slammed her hands into the wall next to her. "I NEED TO FIND HER! Goddammit, why can no one help me FIND HER?"

"I know where she is. So you can trust me, or you can search for longer by yourself. You with me?"

"Fine. Fine! But you'd better not be leading me on or I will kill you."

"Believe me, you do not want to do that. You'd have some pretty unhappy people coming after you."

Nova started off in the same direction again, purple hair swishing behind her.

Soon enough they were outside the bridge. Kiki hadn't actually gone that far, all the time had been opening doors and dodging guards. This time though, there was no escape. The guards, a man and a woman, were standing directly outside the door, and they didn't seem like they were going to move.

"What do we do now?" Nova hissed excitedly.

"We?"

"I'm coming with you. This is the most fun I've had in weeks! Apart from being captured, of course."

"I have a little something that can take out the guards. When we're in there, only call me Moonface, okay? Who knows what they've done to her mind."

Kiki walked out directly into the guards' view, no weapons in sight. But she didn't need a weapon.

The two soldiers aimed at her and fired, a point blank shot that should have killed her. But it didn't. Because she was Moonface. She was Alkina.

She was death.

Or, more specifically, the bullets turned into black mist, filtering into the air until they were gone.

The man and woman opened their mouths to scream, but black tendrils of smoke smothered their shouts, covering their faces like a muzzle and stealing their voices.

These two had done nothing particularly wrong, at least nothing that Kiki knew of, so she gave them an easy death. A bullet of black smoke to the head. Black blood dripped down their noses into their still open mouths as the smoke disappeared.

She pushed the bodies aside with her foot.

"That's quite a good party trick," said Nova, stepping round the corner she had been hiding behind.

"Just a little something I picked up in the past year. Come on."

They walked over to the doors and, almost like they were telepathic, pushed them open at the same time.

Inside there was a man and a woman standing facing out into space, talking. As soon as he heard the door he said loudly, "I thought I said we weren't to be disturbed."

But when he turned around his eyes widened in recognition of both girls standing in the doorway.

Kiki wasn't looking at him, though. She was looking at the woman next to him.

"Solana," she breathed.

Solana stepped forwards.

"How do I know you?"
