The next morning I heard banging at my front door. "Im coming! Damn!" Rolling out of bed i got up to go answer it. Looking through the peep hole i seen it was April big head ass.
"Damn girl i was banging forever, its cold out here," i let her in.
"You was probably out there for like a good minute probably less. Exaggerating ass."
"Anyway get dressed so we can go shopping. Chop chop,"
It was too early to even try to argue with her.
We went to a few outlets and out to eat.
"I need to make a quick pit stop somewhere." April was driving. She pulled up to some run down house.
"Girl what the hell are we even doing on this side of town." I asked.
All the junkies and drug dealers be over here. April and I actually used to live on this side of town before we started working at the club and making enough money to actually live somewhere decent.
"You remember Reddy?"
When she said the name I could've sworn my heart stopped.
"Yeah. My ex fucking boyfriend. Yes i do April."
"Chill lyric well his brother is my weed man. I just need to get an ounce then we can leave," she got out the car.
I got out too. "You aint going in there by yourself."
Outside the house which actually was a trap house were guys sitting around and a couple two dollar looking tricks.
"Minwoo here?" April asked.
A guy smoking a cigarette pointed to the front door. I remember him. I think his name was Mokyo. We walked inside and the smell of marajuana hit me.
April led the way.
"Ayye wassup Lyric. Long time no see."minwoo said smiling. He was currently counting some money.
"Wassup."
Minwoo was young. Had to be around 19 at the least. Poor kid following in his big brother foot steps. But this was all he knew since a baby. Who was i to judge, literally coming up the same way as him. He wasnt like the others though.
Him and april handled their little business then we were on our way out the door.
"Leaving already? I just got back." Reddy came in. I gulped. I haven't seen him in over a year. And I didn't plan on seeing him again.
"Hang out for a while. Aye Dean go show april some of that good shit that just came in. I know she gonna love that shit," reddy said.
Reddy pushed me into a back room.
"Look reddy we only came for some gas thats it. April dont do that no more so let us leave,"
"Why you tryna leave in such a hurry baby? You dont miss me? You dont miss this?" He held up a little bag. I already knew what it was.
He pushed me down on the beat up old couch. "Reddy,please." I begged him.
"Yo why the fuck you acting like this Ly? We used to do this shit all the time. You think you too good now cuz you working down at that strip joint now with the oops?" He sat down next to me putting his arm around my neck getting close to me.
"No i just been clean for a while now and i want it to stay that way."
"I miss you baby. Come back to daddy huh?" He started kissing my neck. I knew better not to fight back. This man literally would used to pull out his gun on me and threaten me.
"Okay okay," i said in a whisper.
He smirked "good girl." He grabbed my chin forcefully kissing me.
Jesus April what have you gotten us into?
