embarrassed and sad

Adeline hadn't spoken to Rue in officially 2 weeks.

The last conversation they had was through text messages.

Addy: hey rue ru ok!!! I miss u??? lmk if you wanna talk, ily ily!

Adelaide wasn't jealous. At least not that much, she was more sad. She missed her best friend dearly and to make it worse she didn't even blame Rue for spending more time with Jules. Adelaide was now 99% sure Rue was in love with Jules and she was proud of her for finding some one. She wondered if Rue was sober or not, hopefully she'd see her at the carnival in a couple nights.

Fezco hadn't talked to Adelaide in a couple days now and was missing her. He didn't say it but Ashtray noticed he'd always get more fidgety and smoke extra when he hadn't seen Adelaide. Which was fucking annoying to watch, Ash could understand where his older brother was coming from. With the shit Fez did for a living it was dangerous to be in a relationship. People tended to use it against you and Fez wasn't about to risk Adelaide getting hurt because of him.

It was 10:00am on Saturday morning when Adelaide decided she'd walk down to the gas station to go see Fez. He had been ignoring her texts all week and she was beginning to worry if she had done something to upset him. Stupid, fucking feelings.

Walking up to the store she noticed Fez wasn't out the front, smoking like usual. She decided she'd go see Ashtray and ask where he was hiding.

"Ashy baby!" Adelaide said walking up to Ashtray and squeezing him in a hug.

"I fuckin' hate when u be callin' me that, Ad." He grumbled eventually hugging her back then pulling away embarrassed.

"You love it. Oh hey, have you seen Fez anywhere. He ain't out the front." Adelaide said looking around in hopes he might magically appear somewhere.

"Oh yeah he in the back," Ash started before stopping his sentence mid way, "Actually might not be a good idea going back there, just stay here"

"What no, I wanna see him now." She said confused.

"Nah for real man, I wouldn't go back there." Ashtray said smirking and shaking his head.

What the fuck is this kid up to?

"Look, I don't have time Ash. I need to speak to him, it'll be fine." She said pushing past and making her way to the back of the shop.

There he is...

There he was indeed.. and a girl with her mouth around his..

Adelaide let out a loud shriek causing the two people to look at her, she quickly turned around and ran back to Ashtray yelling apologies.

When Adelaide reached Ashtray he noticed the traumatised look on her face and bursted out laughing.

"You're a fucking idiot, Ad" Ashtray said trying to catch his breathe.

"Why didn't you tell me he was gettin' his dick sucked!" Adelaide yelled at Ash before starting to laugh herself at the whole situation.

So thats what he's been doing... or I guess who he's been doing.

A couple minutes later Fez walks out alone looking alert and when he noticed Adelaide still standing in the shop with Ashtray he let out a breath of relief. That's when it started to get awkward and Ashtray excused himself by muttering a small "I'm getting the fuck outta here"

"So, uh, that your girlfriend or just-" Adelaide started.

"Nah, its nothin' like that bruh," Fez said hoping it didn't seem like he just used girls like that.

"Right." Adelaide said drawing out the 't' and looking at the ground,

"You've been ignoring my texts, why?" She said looking back up and in his eyes staring deeply.

Fez started to get a bit uncomfortable at how she was looking at him, she was to beautiful for her own fucking good.

"Just haven't had time you know," He started and then realised he's supposed to be ignoring the girl.

Seeing her in person just proved to him how much he needed her. He felt like all the stress he'd been feeling over the last couple of days vanished. Fez didn't often have random girls around, especially at work.. but he thought maybe he was just really sexually frustrated and needed to get his dick wet to feel better.

It didn't work obviously, Fez hadn't been able to hook up with someone without thinking about Adelaide for the past couple months. He felt wrong thinking about the girl in that sort of way, since he'd known her for so long but she was 18 now and.. he was always gonna think about her that way. She was the most attractive girl he knew and her personality was even better.

"I think you gotta leave, bruh"

Adelaide looked at him visibly upset.

"Leave? I just got here."

"Yeah Ion think you should be here." Fez said ignoring all eye contact.

"Are you mad at me? 'cause i'm sorry. I swear I didn't-"

"I'm not mad Adelaide," He used my first name. "You just gotta leave, bro. I don't want you around here no more. You just a distraction and I'm sick of hearing yo voice while i'm tryna work and shit" Harsh.

Adelaide tried to hold her tears in, she wasn't usually this emotional but Fez always felt like he was someone she could go to always. Rue wouldn't talk to her, now Fez? What the fuck is going on.

Adelaide realised she had been standing there like an idiot for at least a minute trying not to cry and decided if that's what he wanted then she'd respect that. Nodding her head and walking away she let a tear fall.

Okay that kind of hurt, she thought.
