Adelaide and Rue were sitting next to each-other not making a word, it wasn't an awkward silence but with Adelaide having a panic attack and Rue being manic, it wasn't exactly a comfortable silence.

Adelaide noticed Rue seemed to be staring at Fezco's Grandma which Adelaide thought was rude until she noticed it wasn't the frail lady Rue was staring at, it was the multiple pill bottles on the night stand.

"Rue, are you okay?" Adelaide whispered.

Rue seemed to be broken from her trance and looked at Adelaide.

"Shit, uh, yeah."

"What's wrong-"

"Fuck it." Rue abruptly grabbed Adelaides hand and slowly opened the door of the bedroom, leading them out.

Adelaide had no other choice than to follow Rue, even if she knew Fezco would be incredibly pissed at her later.

"Yo, Imma need you to start moving some weight." Adelaide recognised the voice, it was Mouse.

"Yo, I'm just tryna keep it lowkey over hear man." Fezco said not noticing the girls yet.

"I'm tryna make fucking money."

"Even if I wanted all this shit bruh, ion got the money for all this, man."

"Well you in luck, imma fund it to you-"

That's when Fezco noticed the girls trying to be discreet behind them. Shit.
Fezco tried his best not to look distracted by anything but he was getting increasingly worried that they were going to get caught by Mouse and his buddies.

"I'm not tryna do all that shit, man" Fezco said, moving around uncomfortably.

Mouse laughed a little to himself before looking up.

"I ain't asking, bruh. Step yo shit up."

Rue and Adelaide had made it outside successfully, and while Rue was mumbling to herself Adelaide thought she could of screamed.

"Rue, what the fuck? Slow down." Adelaide said running up to her best friend.

Rue promptly stopped making Adelaide nearly run into her back.

"Woah. Rue what's up?"

The two girls both looked up to the sky, which was decorated in beautiful purple and pinks shades.
Taking Rue's hand in her own, Adelaide held it tight. This wasn't the first, and definitely not the last, time Rue had fallen into a horrible depressive episode. Adelaide often worried for the girls safety but understood sometimes it was better if she said nothing at all.
