The sun's rays entered the window as I fixed my bed. My leg injury was treated and I already rested well. A set of fresh clothes were on a nearby table and I found it weird that they fit perfectly even if I didn't tell them my size.

"Good morning, gozaru", a blonde woman greeted me when she entered the room.

If I remember correctly, her name was Iroha Kazama, the samurai of holoX. She was the one who knocked me out back when Haniwa was killed.

Iroha was carrying a tray filled with food. Looks like I didn't have to worry about breakfast, huh?

"I'm surprised you didn't bother escaping, gozaru", she said.

"Can I really escape? You guys already know my name so that means you know where I live. If I really want to escape from holoX, I would have to leave Miyako. No, I would have to leave Yamato", I replied.

"You give us too much credit. While we might be strong, we have trouble investigating and tracking down things. That's why Lady Lap wanted you to join us, gozaru."

I ate the food as I thought of my options. From what I know, holoX was some sort of secret organization that did jobs in the shadows. One job that I knew was that they would kill someone without hesitation.

If what she said was true, then I could escape from them. However, I don't think I wanted to live my life hiding from an organization. That was why my only choice was to properly reject their offer and have them promise to never bother me again.

"Big Sis Lui wants to meet you. When you're done eating, can you go to her office, gozaru?" she asked.

"Big Sis Lui?"

"She's our executive and is the leader of holoX, gozaru."

"I thought the leader was that little kid?"

"Lady Lap is the founder of holoX. Big Sis Lui is the one who makes sure holoX operates normally, gozaru."

"Where is her room?"

"Just head to the top floor and you'll find her office. I hope you'll change your mind and join us, gozaru."

Iroha left the room and I continued eating my breakfast. If I could convince this "Big Sis Lui" that I wasn't interested, I could live my life normally without worrying about holoX.

Alright. I'll do my best.

I finished my breakfast and headed to the top floor. There was a room with the words "Executive Office" above its door.

When I opened it, I saw an extravagant room. A carpet covered the floor, large windows showed the outside, bookshelves and cabinets stood near the walls, large speakers played music, and a desk was in the center of the room.

The desk had large stacks of papers and a pink-haired woman was busy writing on a paper. She was wearing a white polo with puffy long sleeves and glasses. A plump bird was sitting on a cane near her.

She looked up from her desk and smiled when she saw me.

"Good morning, Detective Sakasaki. How was your rest?" she asked.

"It was fine. The bed was comfy and my wound was healed. The breakfast was also delicious", I answered.

"I'm glad that's the case. I know it's not enough since we kidnapped you and put you through a test without your consent but I hope you can forgive us for that."

"Well whatever. I'm here to refuse your offer of making me join holoX."

"And why is that?"

"I won't gain anything from joining you."
