"Locked-room murder?" Mr. Murai asked.

"Yeah. Kazushi is dead. His body is still warm so he was recently murdered. The windows and the doors are the only way out but they are all locked from the inside", Mysta explained.

"Lui watched the room the entire time but there were supposedly no strange movements", I added.

The crowd muttered among themselves as Mysta and I looked at each other. Our observations matched so I was sure that my deduction was logical.

"Does it matter if he was murdered or not? I'm getting married tomorrow and I don't want a little thing like this to delay an important celebration. I feel sorry, of course, but it's of no import-"

Before Hideki could finish, Matsuda punched him in the face. He staggered backwards before he fell down. His head hit a nearby door with glass panes which caused it to shatter.

"Hideki! What kind of an insensitive jerk are you?! Kazushi served our family even before you were born and his advice helped Nakauchi Corporation become successful! And did you forget that he was the one who arranged your marriage?! I raised you better than that!" Murai scolded him.

He then looked at Matsuda.

"As for you, Matsuda, learn to control your temper. Kazushi might be like a father to you but Hideki is still your employer. Unless you have a backup plan if you get fired, don't raise your hand against your own boss."

"I apologize", Matsuda hung his head.

Hideki got up and looked away in shame.

"Mr. Murai! The samurai regiment has arrived!" a servant said.

"Very well", Murai walked away.

Mysta and I followed him and he looked at us.

"You two aren't normal people, are you?" he asked.

"Mysta Rias, a detective", Mysta introduced himself.

"I may be Lui's assistant but I'm also a detective", I told him.

"I don't know if I should be surprised that Ms. Lui's assistant is a detective or question how an uninvited guest entered this mansion", Murai said.

"I guess me crashing to this party is a blessing in disguise!" Mysta chuckled.

"In disguise of a what?" I asked.

"Still though, Murai. Your walking stick supports you a lot, huh?" he changed the topic.

"I got involved in an accident which made me lose my precise hands and made my legs weak. But I had it better than my wife who perished", Murai had a sad smile.

We arrived at the entrance and saw a blond man accompanied with two other samurais. Lui was also standing at the entrance and her face looked like she was asking for an explanation.

"Good evening, although the evening is not even remotely good. I am Inspector Teruya Hachiya. The samurai regiment was called since a dead body has been found", the blond man introduced himself.

"I suppose you need to see the body and assess the situation", Murai said.

"That would be very helpful."

The two of them walked ahead while I approached Lui. Mysta didn't follow them but instead, he stuck with me.

"What's going on, Detective Sakasaki?" Lui asked.

"A murder happened. Can you describe to me the state of the mansion when I told you to watch it?"

"I see. When you told me to watch the mansion, there was no strange movement. The window in the room without lights was shattered and nothing happened before you poked out of the window of the adjacent room with the lights on and asked me if there was anything strange."
