Happy birthday grandma | JJ

My parents died when I was five. They went out to sea to travel to an island. but there was a malfunction with their boat and they drowned. Someone got there to try to save them, but their lungs were already filled with water and it was too late.

I lived with my grandma for a few years, but then she was placed in a nursing home. My legal guardian is my uncle, but he started getting really abusive so I left.  since then I've pretty much been living with John B at the chateau.                                                                                                                       ----------------------------

Today was my Grandmas birthday. Each birthday I buy her tulips and spend the day with her. She was one of my favourite people in the world. When my parents died she was the only person who didn't leave my side.

I convinced JJ to come with me and meet my grandma. She insisted that i brought my boyfriend.

We went to the local flower store to buy her some fresh tulips. there were so many to choose from!

"My lady" JJ said while bowing down and handing me a flower.

"Why thankyou, my lovely prince" I mocked while bowing back at him.

we chuckled for a while then he brought me into a tight hug.

We checked out and headed to the car.  Our plan was to bring the boat to the doc at the retirement home, and take my grandma for a little boat ride to watch the sunset.

Once we got back to the chateau, We put together a little gift basket for her. We put a lottery ticket, a teddy bear, a crossword book, and some snacks in there for her.

I headed outside with the cooler to put it on the boat, and JJ was inside grabbing the boat keys.

When I got to the doc, my phone rang. It was a call from the nursing home.

"Hi?" i said curiously.

"Hello, Is this y/n? the lady asked.

"Yes it is" i answered.

" I am very sorry to inform you of this, But your grandmother sadly passed away this morning" The lady replied.

My heart had skipped a beat when I heard those words leave that lady's mouth.

My phone fell out of my hand and I had dropped to my knees. I was screaming and crying on the ground.

JJ's POV:

I was looking for the boat keys, until I heard a horrid scream. I ran to the back door just to notice it was y/n.

"Y/N!" I yelled. she was on her knees sobbing.

Y/N's POV:

I heard JJ yell my name and he started running to me. he sat down beside me and straddled me in his arms.

it felt like we were there for hours. I couldn't help but to feel that my grandma wasn't going to be there anymore. My tears started coming down harder, and harder as I imagined that she wasnt around anymore. I fell into JJ's lap.

He wiped my tears away, and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.

i had explained to him what happened and he comforted me all of the way through.

"Dont worry my love, She will always be looking down on you." His sweet faint voice said while kissing my forehead.

I knew right there. I wanted to be with him forever.
