Chapter 43

Cat's POV:

We were all sat in the living room waiting for the food Kyla didn't want any help her and Matt said they had all in control which I don't mind, I guess she just wanted me and Cameron to talk "hmm so Cameron Madison congrats on getting back together" I tell them trying to make conversation they look at each other and started to laugh "Cat me and cam or not together where did u get that" Madison tells me with a smile "well the magazines they say otherwise" I tell them with a chuckle they look at each other with puzzles looks "don't tell me you didn't know" I ask them "not at all they think because they've seen us together doesn't mean we're together" Cameron says looking me in the eyes I break the eye contact "yep that's right" I say "anyway Cat congratulations on your new song you are finally getting what you have been fighting for" Cameron tells me smiling "yes thanks Cameron" I tell him then I get a phone call I answer as I stand up, "hey Lucas what's up" I say into the phone I see Cameron from the corner of my eyes closing his fists.

Cameron's pov:

I have to admit when I heard her say Lucas I got jealous are they dating I mean has she forgotten me that can't be true right "Cameron you okay" Madison asks me I nod quickly "Cat could you help with the table" I hear Kyla shout from the other room "she's on the phone to Lucas" I shout back "I'll go help" Madison then says and walks into the other room,
A few more minutes cat walks in "hey Kyla shouted for you to go help, I told her you were on call with your boyfriend" I tell as she narrowed her eyes brows "he's not my boyfriend plus you have nothing to do with it anyway" she says back harshly "hey chill I didn't know just assumed" I say back she walks closer to me slowly and puts her hand on my shoulder gently as she whispers in my ear "judt because you didn't know how to keep me doesn't mean that someone else doesn't" just her touch makes me melt I know what she's doing so I just play along as she moves I pull her close to me to the point of our noses touching "I've made a mistake everyone makes them" I tell her gently as I let her go I could feel her breath as she was struggling to keep calm I know I still have affect on her "guys you can come to the table" Kyla shouts I stand up and walk past her just gently touching her bare skill with my hand as I walk past to the other room she follows behind.

Cat's POV:

During dinner Cameron kept looking at me and it was rather annoying it was Kyla sat on the edge Matt on the side me on from of matt Cameron next to Matt and Madison next to me I keep seeing him looking at me and smiling that cheeky smile he does when he's achieved something "so cat what time you going to meet your co workers for drinks" kylas asks me I look at her "at 21:00 sharp" I tell her smiling "well hope you have a good time" she says again I nod as I continue with my food everyone is making small talk I'm just not in the mood.

We are all now sat in the living room with a cup of white wine I mean everyone except from Kyla she's drinking apple juice which she always craves "I'm really enjoying my night" I tell them happy "thanks for the invite" Cameron says smiling I stand up and walk in the kitchen to get more wine as I turn around I see Cameron just standing "what's wrong" I ask him he walks closer "look Cat I know we had a story I also know it's over, but it has been some time maybe we could at least try and be friends again" he says I was not expecting that I smile "Cameron what do you think I'm doing, I stopped running away" I tell him he then narrows his eyes brows "what were you running away away from me" he asks as he comes closer "I didn't mean literally it's a figure of speech" I tell him "sure I'm happy we're at least getting along" he says happy as he turns around to walk away as he's by the door he turns again to look at me "by the way you look amazing like always, you didn't need change" he says and walks away I'm just stood there taking the feeling he gives me every time he's around I get together and walk back out there.

"Well guys I had a great evening but I've gotta go" I tell them "but cat you've been drinking you can't drive" Kyla says worried "I know I'm getting an Uber" I tell her and smile "no need I'll take you wherever as I'm taking Madison home to" Cameron says "there's no need really" I try and say again "I insis" he refuse I nod and grab my jacket as I hug Kyla a see you later she whispers "be careful alone with cam" she says laughing I hit her arm and smile this is going to be a long night.
