There is a saying, "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours." It's happening....

I saw a friend's YouTube and thought, "Gosh, her music is so good but these videos need better thumbnails." and we started talking about it. She took a look at some of my videos and all of the sudden I found myself making an animated video for her song, L-L-L-Love. I just sent the 2nd draft to her and she should get back to me soon.

Networking is important!

The awesome thing is we met in Nashville in 2017 and we had a blast when I was there to audition for a tour. I didn't make the tour but now, years later, I have a solid friend and a collaboration buddy. Friends, you never know what a friendship here or there might lead to so be good to all and enjoy the ride.

Recently I got this friend into the UK takeover show roster and introduced her to that community of about 1500 plus artists. We did a live, digital concert together with 3 other artists on Dec 18th last year. I got to work on her music video and spent over 10 hours on the first draft. She promised to "pay" with vocal lessons. We agreed and here we are - she just got the second draft and I just got my first vocal lesson with her this past Wednesday.

I was blown away by her professionalism and competence. She had already taken notes about how to help me improve my voice while she listened to my singing on the Dec 18th concert. Then I spent a  good 40 minutes just hanging out with her on Zoom. (She is in the U.K. and I am in Sweden).  Then she gave me a foundational lesson on breathing. After that she sent bullet points, different steps on what to do to become aware of my breathing and gain control of it. And, then she sent a video summary of the all the exercises we'd gone through to help me train my breathing. Awesome!

Then we booked another session (the 2nd of 10) . And i sent the second draft of the music video. This is going to be a game changer for both of us.

Today, we musicians can work with people all around the world. Through many sites such as Landr, Soundcloud, Reverbnation, Fivver and Facebook. There, we meet people that have talents that we need (sessions musicians, etc.) Some of them can trade service for service and others you have to pay to get their services. For those of you who have the money, this could save you time.

I think I am going to suggest that she does that kind of work on, for example, Fiverr.

Maybe you have a skill that you could market on Fiverr? What's stopping you?

Until next time.
