Percy Jackson and the Incarnate - 2: Who is the spy?

CHAPTER 16 POV: Percy Jackson

After a week, Camp Jupiter came under attack. They were still recovering from the attack by Shukracharya, and now about one hundred thousand monsters led by Kronos, Krios, Hyperion and Koios. Except for Jason, Zoe, Bianca and Michael, the remaining army of Chaos went to help Camp Jupiter.

The same time, Camp half Blood was attacked. More monsters, and many Giants. Gods!! Thank gods, we had Piper and Leo. We could defeat the giants. But my gut tells that the enemy was not sending their full strength. And I haven't seen the monsters from the Hindu Mythology, nor Shukracharya. He must be planning something. But think of it later.

The campers in the camp were scared. With four members of the Army of Chaos, Hunters and Me, we could defeat the monsters, but we had to guard the four weak points. The beach, Labyrinth, Thalia's pine, and the Grove of Dodona. The four guarded the four spots with a few campers, in full-fledged armor. All the cabin Counselors were present and preparing. Justin and Annabeth were with me, overseeing the preparations. All the campers were afraid and anticipation in their eyes, for the war. But I know that out of these faces, one was a spy. It was time to find out.

As expected, the enemy came from the Labyrinth. Lot of monsters. About a thousand each. They flanked each spot. I went to Jason's Aid. Annabeth went to Zoe's aid. Justin went to Bianca's aid. Grover went to Michael's aid and the battle started. Me and Jason made a short work of the monsters and keeping Will and Nico to guard the spot, we went to the border where Thalia's pine stood. One hunter each helped them too with Thalia defending her own tree.

It was an ocean of monsters. Tartarus was really working overtime to reform them. We were still inside the borders, and it held, because of the fleece (which was now in the infirmary) and the Athena Parthenos. But it was a matter of time before the monsters overwhelm us.

I went and searched for two faces. And I saw them. Annabeth and Justin. They just successfully defended the weak points. I commanded eight more demigods split into pairs of tow each to guard the four weak spots while I pull Annabeth and Justin towards the Battle outside.

"Annabeth, Justin. I want you two to help me with the main army of monsters.", I shouted. The other campers were scared but determined. It was time that I take leadership.

"But we are outnumbered like hundred to one. With the chaos army defending the spots, we have little to kill the actual army.", Annabeth voiced her concern.

"We will kill how much ever we can. We still need to kill the giants.", Justin replied. I nodded with him.

"Don't worry. I have called a few of my own allies. They should arrive shortly.", suddenly I realized something. "Call Chiron immediately!!", I bellowed, and Justin obeyed. After a few minutes, Chiron was galloping in his armor and bow in his hand.

"What is the matter p- Evlogimenos?", he asked.

"I am bringing a few allies. I need to give them permission to enter.", I shouted. He nodded.

"Shall we?", I asked, and Justin and Annabeth nodded gleefully. We started to attack the monsters. We three were a good team, without much practice. I practically know Annabeth's every move and we complemented each other like two sides of the same coin. We would slash, stab, parry, duck, and all other movements and kill monsters. We were a pure arc of destruction.

I paused just for a moment. I heard voices inside my head.

"Sorry for being late Hari. Can some god of the Greek pantheon escort us? Only then would they agree on is being your allies.", the ancient voice of Mahabali rang inside my head. I nodded and looked at Annabeth and Justin.

"I need to go to another place. Will be back ASAP. Continue the good work.", I said as I slashed my way to the hearth, where Hestia was busy keeping the hearth running. It was glowing dim, and she was frantically trying to keep it bright.
