CHAPTER 18 POV: Percy Jackson

After introducing the Chiranjeevis, Mahabali explained about themselves in detail. All of them were shocked on how ancient they were. The Hindu Pantheon was clearly ancient. For I have never heard of any other Pantheon who had records of events that happened a million years ago, or so they claimed.

"Now, I shall reveal who I am.", I said and chuckled internally at the prospective faces they could make. I flipped off my hood and was greeted by loud gasps, loud enough for the whole room to have a minor tremor. Only my father, Hestia and Apollo knew who I was, and they were grinning wide. So wide, my father's smile rivalled Apollo's for once. All the head counsellors were shocked beyond belief, except for Annabeth who was beaming. Justin looked, star-struck and scared. Thalia was sparkling with electricity. Others were just frozen in shock as if they were turned to stone by Medusa. I chuckled lightly.

"P-P-Perseus?", It was Amphitrite. I least expected her to recover first.

"Yes, My lady. Call me Percy. Percy Jackson at your service.", I barely said when she flashed next to me and hugged me. A hug to rival Tyson. To say I was shocked was an understatement.

"I am so sorry Percy. I was never fond of you. I was sour against you, for you were a reminder of the mortal Poseidon loved. Still, you recommended me to be inducted in the council when you had many options. I am forever indebted to you. Please forgive me.", she whispered into my ear.

"No need to apologize, My lady. It was natural for you to be sour towards me. I am a reminder that your husband cheated on you. So, it was natural. I am sorry if I hurt you in any way, intentionally or unintentionally.", I replied. I looked around the room and all of them were staring at us in disbelief. Persephone came down her throne and then hugged me along with Amphitrite and whispered in my ear, "Thank You Perseus. First you restored my Husband's honor and pride. Let him join the Olympian council. Made his children accepted. He is the happiest he had been in millennia. I thank you Perseus. Nico has chosen a great friend.", she whispered in my ear while she hugged me and then released. Amphitrite also released.

"Before others start, I want to make an announcement!", Amphitrite said, and others looked at her. Dad looked at me with a twinkle in his eyes, like something good is about to happen.

"I shall formally adopt Percy as my child. He shall be my child beside the child of the Mortal. Percy. Next time you call me My lady, I shall send a pack of sharks to hunt you. I want you to call me as mother or mom. You still will be a demigod, and still that mortal.... Sally will be your mother, but from now on, a new start. We shall have the mother-son bonding I never gave you.", Amphitrite said, and my eyes widened.

"I am honored, My- Mother. I want to promise. This shall extend to all my brothers, including Justin here. He is also your son, and I want him to be treated fairly. It is my first wish as... as your son.", I said reluctantly. She nodded.

"Justin Riverside. I am sorry if I was sour towards you. I beg your apology. I assure, you that I will be a good mother to you both. Both of you shall be granted unrestricted access to Atlantis and shall be consulted for opinions regarding every matter. My love, any problems?", she asked, looking at dad.

"No for me. But it is Triton you should convince.", he shrugged.

"And this will.", I said and all of the gods looked at me, "I, Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon and Sally Jackson and the adopted son of Amphitrite, swear on River Styx that I shall never in my lifetime try to usurp or snatch Triton's birth right of being the heir to Poseidon's throne and Atlantis in any way and will swear to help and protect him whenever he calls for help.", I said and thunder boomed loudly. Dad and mom were now flabbergasted. Dad came down and hugged me. My adopted mom kissed me in the cheeks. Was I dreaming?
