Percy Jackson and the Incarnate - 2: Who is the spy?

CHAPTER 15 POV: Percy Jackson

It had been nearly a year since I returned to the camp. The members of the Chaos Army were training the campers in many weapons. The hunters of Artemis were also present, who reluctantly agreed to join practice, for they were defeated handsomely by Michael/ Velos. The Gada training was going smoother than expected.

As I thought, Clarisse was very good with it, so were a few other Ares children. They were now using the Metal Gadas, and I started to teach them Techniques and moves; Only the Chaos Army fared better. But the increase in strength was visible. Even the Aphrodite Cabin loved the Gada for it 'accentuated' their shape. That was a surprise.

In this year, me and Annabeth had grown closer. We would meet at the secret spot like once a week so that we could cuddle. It was difficult, but she understood and remained distant. I wanted to kiss her so badly. But it would lead to a lot of problems for the both of us.

We called Piper and Leo to the camp to help in the war. When they saw Jason, they wept like hell. Piper hugged an awkward Jason and apologized vehemently while Leo set Jason's head on fire before Jason jumped into the lake. Tension could be felt between Jason and Piper. Considering that they broke up, before Jason died, it may take a while for them to reconcile.

Justin was an interesting Demigod. Chiron was right. He looked more of a son of Neptune than a son of Poseidon. He was too serious, as if he was in a deadline or he was expecting an attack. But he was good by heart; I can tell. Oh! I so wish to reveal to him that I was his brother Percy Jackson. But I felt a sense of sadness in him. I needed to ask him about that.

The intensity of attacks by the monsters were increasing, but it was not a full-fledged attack. It was as if, the enemy was trying to pry us into a mistake. But rest assured, a big attack was around the corner.

I still could not find the spy. I mean how was that possible? I have a few suspects, but none were convincing, nor I had proof. I received two more notes like that, and I had to stop doing anything remotely suspicious to the campers. Someone was spying at me. And it looked as if he was playing a game with me.

It was established that the spy knew my actual identity. Though I did not react to the notes and acted as if I never received such notes, inside I was freaking out. That spy could have reported this to his/her master, but it seemed that he/she had other plans.

Justin tried to help in the first month. In a Capture the Flag Game four months earlier, we found a bunk which even the Hermes Cabin was not aware of. That made me fidgety. The only people who knew about it was The Chaos Cabin, Me, Chiron, Annabeth, Katie who was the one who stumbled into the bunk and Justin who, while searching for Katie, found this place and reported to us immediately.

When we found the place, it was filled with radios and other instruments used to send signals. And the worst part was that the antenna was buried deep inside the earth, as if...... No! I don't want to think about it.

It was decided that each member of the Chaos cabin alone would guard the cave entrance to nab the spy the next time he arrived. Justin and Annabeth volunteered too. But Chiron strictly refused. Justin was snarling in anger, claiming he would find the thief and drown him down the Styx! He was furious. Annabeth was also with him, but after a few long debates and a few myrmekes attacking us out of nowhere, we convinced them to not come here back. They grudgingly relented.

It was my turn today as I stood guard. After we found the bunk, there was no one coming this side. The spy never came. It was as if he knew that we found the bunk. I sat at the threshold thinking deeply. The spy knows who I am. He also knows that we have found his bunk. The only time I revealed who I was, was when I revealed myself to Annabeth and Chiron. But I already put a shield around the room. Maybe......
