I went to my bunk in the cabin. This one week was hard and I don't know how I can survive a year or two. I started to think what would happen if I lost him permanently. I would turn into a dementor. I quickly shoved these thoughts behind and took out a book to read.

This was not any normal published book. Two days ago, I was organizing my bunk when ten books appeared with a note.

Annabeth,

Knowing your book-love and love for long and complex stories, I present you the biggest ever epic known to mankind. (Even the mortals agree.). I personally wrote the story myself, for I was told this story by its actual author and witness.

I request you to read only one chapter per day. By the time you complete the whole story, your wait will be over.

So, let me present to you, my written version of the biggest Epic of All time, 'Mahabharata'.

Yours,

Your brother.

I was happy. I know this was Hari. So, I kept the ten books into my secret vault which not even Malcom dares to touch. So, I started to read about Mahabharata. I know this is a story, but my gut tells me that this will help me in the future. And being a bookworm I am, I started to read a chapter each.

Today is my third day, and I was curious. Yesterday, in the book, The king Shantanu, and the River Ganges (personified), married and lived happily. But whenever a child was born, she would toss the baby into the river, but not before pang of regret and tears. I saw that it was helplessness. Yesterday's chapter ended when Shantanu stopped Ganga from drowning their eighth child, thereby breaking his vow. Ganga decided to leave but agreed to tell him about the reasons for her actions.

As I started the third chapter, I heard a noise outside. I went outside with my drakon-bone sword and rushed towards Thalia's pine. I saw a boy about fifteen years old being chased by a few hellhounds and a dracaena. Nico came next to me, and we had a common understanding. I went to the dracaena and Nico went to the hellhounds. After a minute of slashing, stabbing, and rolling, I killed the dracaena. Nico killed a few hellhounds and only about three were left. I was about to kill it when the kid who was being chased, took out the sword Dracaena had and charged to the hellhound. I tried to stop, but he started to slash and stab wildly. Even if he had no technique, he had in born agility and speed. Maybe a son of Hermes. I and Nico killed the two other hellhounds while the third was battling furiously with the kid. He stabbed at the right place and the hellhound crumbled to ash.

I went to the kid while Nico went to Chiron to inform. The kid had black hair and sea-green eyes, like Percy. He looked like he was a rare loner. He must have found a sword somewhere and started to practice hacking and slashing. His technique was sloppy, but he must have practiced a lot or encountered a lot of monsters, for he had a lean build. I gave him some nectar and Ambrosia while the rest of the campers came. Two apollo kids came with a stretcher with Pranjal behind. Today was his last day and he would return to Camp Jupiter. While they went to the infirmary, I went to visit Chiron.

Chiron was seated with Hestia and Nico in the room as well. Nico, being son of Hades; he reeked death. But after Percy died, or so they thought, he looked miserable. Even Akhlys, the very personification of misery looked less miserable. And trust me, both me and Nico saw misery firsthand.

"Annabeth, can you report about the new demigod?", Chiron asked.

"He looked like a loner. His technique was sloppy, but he had a lean built, and must have practiced using the sword or encountered monsters before. He must have lost his sword in a previous fight, because once he took the dracaena's sword, he started to slash and stab viciously. Moreover, he had Percy's eyes and hair.", I said and choked at the last line.
