We were now trapped in a small cellar. I sat on a box fiddling with my hair pins while Clyde wondered back and forth Sarah Jane who was now backwas trying to get out and look was looking around.
"I bet your lipsick thing would have had this thing licked." Clyde says
"Yeah, well a shame the nuns made me check my bag in a the door." Sarah Jane replied." I bit one of of my hair pin. and spit it out.
"I hope Maria's having better luck with Mrs Nelson Stanley." Luke sighed as i took another hair pin and messed with it.
"We don't need any star trek gadgets. This place is full of secret passages. Luke and Catlin read about it. They've got it stored up in their super brains" i rolled my eyes.
"I don't remember any down here." Luke replied
"Well all the same it's better on trying." Sarah jane Started looking.
"Mum i think the Gorgon's dying." Luke told his Mum as i smiled finishing my little tools.
"why."
"We saw her stumble earlier,like she was sick." I stood up and tied my hair back.
"I heard sister Helena saying that they needed to find a new host. She said that when the portals open, humanity and the Gorgon will be as one."
"That's what she meant when she took the talisman. Helena said that the Gorgons needed to survive. I don't think the abbess is the Gorgon."
"What?" We asked. Before Sarah jane could reply the door was unlocked and Helena came in with two their sisters.
"Miss Smith will you come with us?" We snapped our heads to the older woman in the room.
"I'll be fine." Sarah Jane said
"Don't worry we won't harm a hair on her head." Helena smiled sickly sweet and they took her away and locked the door. Clyde looked at us.
"we have got to find a way out of here.
"Don't worry about that. I have a plan." i held up my two hair pins.
"And what do you plan to do with them. Do your hair?" I walked to the door and knelt down.
"No lock is full proof, with talent, concentration and me in the room. Well get out." I concentrated as i messed with the lock. I heard a satisfying click and i turned to open the door.
"Where did you learn to do that?" Luke asks
"Let's just say when I travel with my Dad, i never learn boring things." We made our way through the corridors
"We need to have a plan." Luke states
"Yeah sure, when we get a chance, But i the meantime we need to find Sarah Jane." I replied back "Luke take us to where the portal is." He took the lead and we followed. When we stopped two nuns were holding Sarah Jane.
"The Gorgon is controlling all of you. Fight it! They'll destroy the human race!" She struggled against the grip of the women holding her.
"No. The Gorgons shall save us from war and greed. We will exist only to serve them. We will be at peace ever lasting!" Sister Helena held her arms up in triumph "And you shall be our Queen." The three of us shared a worried look.
"To receive the Gorgon, do not look into it's eyes. To do so will turn you into stone."
"I'd rather turn into granite!" She yelled
"You don't have a choice Miss Smith. Prepare to serve the Gorgon!" They all started chanting again and we nodded to Luke and we ran out.
"Mum!" I was grabbed by nuns. I struggled
"Hold them, they can watch the transfer and be the first victims of our new Queen." I watched in horror as the energy snakes came from the Abbess and were about to go into Sarah Jane when Maria jumped in front of her with a mirror and sending it back. Turning the creature into stone. my gripped loosened as it was all over. We all came in for a group hug.
"What happened? What is going on?" Sister Helena asked and we broke apart
"You're free the gorgon's lost its control over you." Sarah Jane beamed. There were loud screams and we snapped our attention to the portal.
"They're coming through." Maria and I rushed over to the portal to get the talisman.
"Come on" i muttered, Maria freed it and the portal closed. We all breathed a sigh of relief as Sarah Jane hugged Maria.
"What about your father." i was confused but i guess we'd find out soon as we all rushed back to Bannerman Road. When we got back and everything been explained to us. We stood looking at the stoned Mr Jackson.
"What if i doesn't work?" Maria asked
"If it worked on Bea it will work on you."
"You've only got a couple of minutes" I urged. Maria sighed and put the talisman around her Dad's neck. She stood with us and the talisman began to glow" The stone disappeared and Mr Jackson wobbled before falling to the ground.
"Dad!" Luke checked his pulse.
"He's alive, just unconscious."
"We better get him out of here before he wakes up." We all helped take him into the garden and left him on the bench. Going back inside we got our books out and did homework. Maria left 10 minutes later. There was a knock on the door and Sarah Jane answered it was Mrs Jackson.
"What was it you were looking for Mrs Jackson?" She barged in and we looked up. We stood up from what we were doing.
"What have you done with it? It was right here. Bold as you like a statue of my Alan." Mrs J stated
"I don't know what..." Sarah Jane was cut off.
"I know what I saw. Where is it?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about" I bit my lip to stop myself from giggling
"Come on Mum, maybe we should go home." Maria came over and took her Mum.
"Pity really. I think i'd look good as one of them greek statues." I gripped onto Luke jacket and Mr Jackson pulled a pose.
"I like you the way you are." they left, Sarah Jane and I burst into fits of giggles."
