After the ruckus of my arrival and my interrupted sleep with then knowing my Uncle had taken a fall. I decided to take a walk, while walking around the school when a boy bumped into me.

"My apologies." the boy spoke, he looked to be around the same age as me, a little timid compared to the other students that I have noticed.

"It's alright." I assure him as I took a liking to the air about him, he didn't seem like a pig that looked down on his counterparts. "What's your name?" I wondered

"Latimer, Timothy Latimer." I smiled and held out my hand.

"Katherine Smith." He looked down at it for a second then remembered what to do. He kissed it and I took my hand away slowly.

"Are you Mr Smith's, Niece?" he wondered

"Word about me has already spread has it?" I laughed, I was in a all boys school and the only female that wasn't a matron or a maid. I figured as much would happen.

"Quite so,Ma'am."

"Please, call me Katherine. I'm not old." I insisted, he bowed his head slightly accepting the permission of a  familiar term "Tell me Timothy, you know the school well?"

"Yes I do."

"Would you mind showing me around, the Headmaster promise, yet never said with who. I think you to be a good choice."

"Of course."

"Tomorrow then." he nodded and I smiled. I headed back to my room to read. I then changed for bed that night and fell asleep.

-

The next morning i found myself sitting in my Uncles room, reading a book, when someone knocked on the door. Uncle John opened it.

"You told me to come and collect that book, Sir." I looked up. I knew that voice.

"Good lad, yes, yes. The definitive account of king by Aitchison Price. Where did i put it." Uncle john came back with Timothy.

"Good morning, Timothy." I smiled at him.

"Good morning Miss Katherine."

"And I wanted a little word. Your marks aren't quite good enough." Uncle told him with a concerned gaze, making me want to know more.

"I'm top 10 in my class , sir." Timothy replied

"Now, be honest, Timothy. You should be at the very top. You're a clever boy, you seem to be hiding it. Where's that book." he continued searching for the book

"And I know why. Keeping your head low avoid the mockery of your class mates. But no man should hide himself, don't you think?" I continued reading, but not making it as obvious that I was.

"Yes, sir."

"You're clever. You should be proud of it. Use it. Ah." he kept rambling while I paid half attention to my book.

"Fascinating details about the siege, really quite remarkable. Are you alright?" he asks and i look up again.

"Yes sir, Fine sir."

"Right then, good. And remember, use that brain of yours." Timothy took the book and had a far away look.

"You're really not looking yourself, old chap. Anything bothering you?"

"No sir." I decided to take him away from my Uncle.

"Timothy, how about that our of the school, if that's alright with you Uncle." I glance between them. Uncle John nodded turning to do something else.
