We all ran back towards the academy. Dad pushes the gate shut behind him and we run inside. He grabs the bells and starts to ring it.

"What are you doing?" Martha asks incredulously

"Maybe one man can't fight them, but this school teaches us to stand together. Take Arms! Take Arms!"

"Stop doing that!" I yell I hold onto his arm  but he switches it to his other side.

"You want me to fight don't you? Take Arms! Take Arms!" He continues to ring the bells and boys are now up, wondering what's going on.

"I say, sir whatever is the matter?"

"Enemy at the door, Hutchinson, enemy at the door. Take Arms!" I look at Martha doubtful and we followed my father.

"You can't do this, Doctor." Martha says

"Uncle John, Mr Smith!" So annoying, making these young boys fight things they would never dream of fighting. Dad wouldn't let them do that. But in this state his not actually my Dad just a look a like with different memories.

"Maintain position over the stable yard" he orders

"They're just boys, you can ask them to fight. They don't stand a chance!" I stress

"They are cadet's, Katherine. They are trained to defend the King and all his citizens and properties." I was about to protest some more when the headmaster entered.

"What in thunder's name is this?" He questioned

"Before I devise an excellent and endless series of punishments for each and every one of you, could someone explain, very simply and immediately exactly what is going on." Mr Smith stepped forward

"Headmaster I have to report that the school is under attack." he stated with less fear and the upmost concern.

"Really? Is that so. Perhaps you and I should have a word in private." I face palmed because some human men were incredibly stupid.

"No, I promise you, sir. I was in the village with Matron and my niece. It's Baines, sir, Jeremy Baines, and Mr Clark from Oakham Farm. They've gone mad, sir. They've got guns and already murdered people in the village. I saw it happen." my mouth opened and shut, he wasn't wrong but trying to explain it to a old dud like him and something of this calliper, why bring me the hell into it.

"Matron, Miss Smith, is that so?" I nodded

"i'm afraid so sir."

"Murder on our own soil?"

"I saw it yes." Matron confirmed, at least she was good for something .

"Perhaps you did well then, Mr Smith. What makes you think the danger is coming here?" He asked

"Well sir they said."

"Baines, threaten him, sir. Said he'd follow him. No idea why." Mr Smith nodded agreeing with me well i suspect only half.

"Very well. You boys remain on guard, Mr Snell, telephone for the police. Mr Phillips with me, we shall investigate. Martha stood in front of them.

"No, it's not safe out there." She tells the headmaster

"Mr Smith, it seems your favourite servant is giving me advice. You will control her sir." oh that, that was it I officially hated this time.

"And how about me? Trust me Headmaster, you go out there one of you will die."

"Miss Smith, a little decorum." he walks past me. I look at Martha.

"Let's go find his watch." I left and saw Tim.
