y/n looked at the scene in front of her, bewildered. why the hell were takemichi and his friends in a fight tournament? is that even what it was? some people held out money, placing bets, and a scary looking boy with slits in his eyebrows announced the fighters.

at this point, y/n was so worried for takuya that she completely forgot all about takemichi. she knew she couldn't get involved with the people there, so she kept a safe distance, as promised.

he was up against a boy from sakura middle who looked quite a lot stronger than he did.

someone told them to begin, and cheers erupted from the crowd. but before anyone could throw the first punch, takemichi stood up from the steps.

"WAIT!!!" he yelled, and everyone turned to face him. y/n smacked her hand to her forehead. what a dumbass.

"oh man, ain't it really boring having the same type of fights every single time?" takemichi said with an unusual amount of confidence.

"don'tcha wanna watch something more interesting?" this caused a murmur from the crowd.

"how about... the king vs. the slave." takemichi said with a wide smile.
y/n didn't know much about what was going on, but she knew that was probably a stupid thing to say. at least he was trying to save takuya. y/n had seen takemichi get beaten up before. it wasn't pretty, she always had to look away.

y/n covered her mouth with her hand as takemichi walked up to the biggest guy there, and challenged him to a one-on-one.
