Chapter 5: "I am glad my suffering appeals to your sense of humor."

-"Psst. Hey."

...

-"Yo. Wake up."

...

-"Damn. I think she is dead."

I wake up to the feeling of someone gently shaking me, attempting to wake me up.

But like I always do when someone disturbs my sleep, I just ignore them and pretend to be still asleep, hoping they'd just give up and leave me alone.

-"...Yo human, are you seriously dead, though?!" The voice seems to be actually getting worried.

-"Yes. I am dead. Now please let me sleep." I mumbled, covering my head with my blanket.

Suddenly, I feel myself getting shoved off of my bed.

I fall onto the floor with a yelp, opening my eyes to be met with Mammon's smug face.

-"Took ya long enough." He said, smiling down on me with amusement.

-"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!!!" I shouted getting up and aggressively throwing my pillow towards his face.

He gets hit, picks up the pillow from the floor, and throws it back towards me with the same amount of aggression.

-"I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO WAKE YOU UP FOR 10 MINUTES!" He screamed in frustration.

I catch the pillow, and prepare to throw it at him again.

Suddenly, the room's door swings open, revealing Satan.

He stood there for a few moments, silently looking at us with concern on his face after seeing me standing in one side of the room, looking like a mad woman with sleep marks on my cheek and my hair all messed up from sleeping, while Mammon stood on the other side of the room with his arms shielding him from my next pillow attack.

-"Just what are you two idiots doing?! You know you are going to be late, right?!" He said in a matter-of-fact tone, before turning around and simply leaving.

Me and Mammon just look at each other for a few seconds, frozen in place, that is until I finally shove the pillow in his direction, hitting him square in the nose.

Hehe, nice.

Before he gets a chance to get back at me, I cut him off with my question.

-"What are we going to be late for?"

-"Ya mean ya seriously don't know? You're going to be late for school, that's exactly why I've been trying to wake ya up." He gave me a look.

-"What?! I'm supposed to start today?! Why did no one tell me?!??" I protested.

He just threw some clothes at me.

-"Here. Put this on. That's your RAD uniform. And if ya don't want to be late, get ready in 5 minutes and skip breakfast. I'll see ya there." He said nonchalantly, before turning around to leave.

-"Wait!"

-"What is it, human?! Ya know you will have to pay me for sparing ya so much of my precious time, right?"

-"I just- I don't know where the school is. Is it far?" I asked, very overwhelmed.

It's all happening so fast.

He sighed in exasperation, then he picked up his D.D.D.

Then my own device pinged.

-"Here, I sent ya the location through Devil map. Now give me 50 Grimm." He extended his hand, waiting for me to hand him money.
