Alfonso's POV

I woke up in the middle of night not being able to sleep due to the bed. I wasn't used to sleeping in this kind of bed and environment. Oh shoot. I sighed knowing that I literally just wasted my whole first day falling asleep. I felt curious about the design of the house. I don't deny that their glowing doors werent quite eye catching. I got up and got ready to leave my bedroom. There was just darkness and silence. The only light that was in the house came from their doors. I did actually take a look at the booklet had memorized every family member with their gifts. I had noticed that they had another member named Bruno, although he didn't appear at all when I had gotten to the house. I looked as some doors had a long red string on the bottom. Dolores's was still extended in the way of the village. Mirabel and her oldest sister, Isabella's strings weren't red, but they were instead orange. Orange symbolizes that their lovers are still not yet determined. When fate decides who it is then it will fully submerge itself into the color red. Louisa did not have a string on the bottom of her door. She must not have a true lover. I smiled enjoying the peace and quiet. Being in this type of setting is like living in a castle or exploring an abandoned place which pleased me very much. I looked up to a dark display area. This must be where their candle used to be. Instead of the candle, it was a photo of their famous Abuelo Pedro smiling. The color of the inside house was just blasted with colors. I walked quietly past each door admiring the lights that were glowing from it. I kept walking till it had hit Bruno's door. I felt a spark from my left ring finger.

"Ouch," I said quietly in pain and shaked the pain away. I gently rubbed my finger wondering what happened. I looked at Bruno's door and noticed that he had a rainbow-colored string. I scratched my head in confusion. I had never seen that kind of string before. I walked past his door and went down the stairs to explore some more, or, I tried too until I noticed their piano in the middle of the house. I turned my head and looked around to make sure no one was around. I made my way to the piano and slowly sat down pressing some keys down. Surely there couldn't hear me in their doors. They must be off in their wonderland within their own rooms. I quietly took a deep breath. Inhale, exhale.

I had let my fingers moved on their own as the piano let out its wonderful sound. The setting was just right as the glowing doors just added to the background. It'd be even more wonderful if there were candles lit up around the place. The moon light shined onto this piano as it seemed like it was perfectly set up, waiting for me. My curiousity has made me just touch this beautiful sound-making machine. I've always loved to play the piano ever since I was young. There was just something so enchanting about the sound. Not just piano, but just every single instrument. It was so amusing for everyone to watch as well as listen too. It'd put people at ease. If I could've had music as my gift then I would've gladly taken it. Playing piano is how I've always dealt with the stress. It goes away with the melody, and the harmony coming from it just makes me fade into the music as my existence no longer matter. I would sometimes close my eyes and be one in tune with it. I smiled softly hitting all the right keys as it one by one filled me up with joy. It was extravagent being able to play. It surely did not feel like the one back at my home, but it was still just as wonderful. My love of playing the piano was always known within our hometown. I'd just classically play in my house as the sound broke through our house's barrier and wonder it's way through the air to our village. Although the people knew someone from our house was playing it, they never had guessed that it was me at all. They really all just assumed it was my brother Jae who was the one who could play so well. Some have also just come up with a theory that we've always had an automatic piano that plays whatever song we desire. Little do they know that it's actually me. I've told my family to keep it a secret from the people because it's just not something I want to expose to others yet. Even if I've been playing since I was little. My appearance may not look it, but I enjoy watching anything animated. Ever since I had watch this one movie, this musical piece had always had a place in my heart. It may sound weird, but there's not much else that's had a place within my heart except music and animation series.
