Music Performance

Narrator's POV

After the four had finished their dinner, they all cleaned up their mess. They suddenly heard a knock on the door as Hisa walked over to open the door. Edward and Jae stood outside and both greeted everyone. Jae was hugging Edward from behind happily. Edward, annoyed, just let him have his way since he was tired of telling him no.

"Why have you come to see us?" Hisa asked.

"I'm just making sure that my guests are feeling alright. I need to make sure that my village has a good reputation as everyone feels pleased with their stay," Edward was holding a brown bag filled with coins. "Jae has already paid for you all, so no need to give me anything. Although if you do..."

"Edwardddd..." Jae warned. "You don't need anymore,"

Edward sighed.

"Fine," he responded. Jae plumped up his lips.

"I'll give you all of my money," Jae replied rubbing his face into Edward's neck. Alfonso stared at them trying his best not to vomit seeing his brother all over this Edward. Bruno was busy drying the dishes and putting them back into their original place. Jae directed his direction towards Alfonso and smiled. Alfonso rolled his eyes annoyed.

"There's going to be some live performances for the public eye to see and enjoy. You all should come to see the performances," Edward said smacking Jae's wandering hands. Jae rubbed his hands in pain. Hisa and Reiki were interested in the performances. They both shot their looks at Alfonso.

"Fine, we can go," Alfonso answered their question. They both high fived while Alfonso felt like their dad as they would ask him for anything. They could hear the sound of music through the opened door as well as the sound of people chattering away. Alfonso could hear the strings of a violin travel throughout the air and going into his ears. The violin playing was quite addicting as the sound was appealing. He felt the touch of Bruno's hand onto his arm, giving him a slight squeeze. Alfonso looked down and wasn't approving of Bruno's outer wear. "You all go wear something warm, it might be a bit chilly tonight. I'm especially looking at you," he dragged Bruno into his room. "I'll be in my room changing. You need to go change though," he walked back into his room and shut his door. Bruno looked through his brown backpack, shoveling his different type of clothing. He pulled out a dark green sweater that felt soft enough on the inside for him to wear. He wanted to wear some shorts to feel comfortable, but he'd feel cold easily. He took out some black pants as well as comfortable shoes to wear. He had changed and smooth down any wrinkle that could've appeared onto his outfit. Bruno walked out of his room and noticed that Alfonso was already down in the living room. He'd noticed that Alfonso was wearing a pair of glasses.

"You wear glasses?"

Alfonso turned around and gave a nod.

"I only wear it from time to time, but I usually wear it when reading or writing. I thought it'd be alright if I wore it for tonight. Does it loo funny?" Alfonso asked stroking his hair behind his head in order to see. He took a quick glance onto Bruno's outfit and gave an approving nod. Hisa and Reiki stepped out in their warm long sleeves.

"Let's go!!!" Reiki hyped up going to open the door.

"Just make sure you are all careful," Alfonso warned. Reiki and Hisa had already ran out excited to see the music performances. Alfonso sighed and walked while Bruno trailed behind him. They were all greeted with the chattery crowd as they critic, complimented, as well as insulted the ones who had played in front of the public. Alfonso bopped his head from time to time with the beat that was formed throughout the air. He looked over and noticed his brother Jae and Edward were standing together. He could see a slight smile of joyness form onto Edward's face while Jae was busy enjoying the performances. The bright sun was slowly setting as time had passed by. There were lit torches everywhere to keep the light shining even in the darkness. Bruno stared at Alfonso's reactions to the environment formed around him. He could tell that Alfonso seemed to enjoy the music as everyone was having fun throughout the whole event. Bruno's hand moved towards Alfonso's, but the timing had made Alfonso's hand move away, failing Bruno's attempt. Bruno pulled back in embarrassment, looking around to see if anyone else had noticed. Bruno had turned back to see their distance growing between one another. He rushed his feet to catch up to Alfonso's pace, but the crowd had just pushed him back. Bruno started to get goosebumps arising onto his skin as Alfonso had only moved further. It made him think back to that nightmare. He was too scared to call Alfonso as it'd only give him unwanted attention. Alfonso had turned back to notice Bruno faraway. Alfonso looked for Bruno's red string and gave it a little tug as Bruno moved forward. He gave a slight smile and walked back to him. Bruno's anxious had lowered as he had relaxed a bit seeing that Alfonso had noticed his lost presence. Bruno looked around and had noticed that some girls were checking out Alfonso. His eyes started to change again as Bruno turned around and ran away from the crowd. Alfonso had noticed confused and followed him as well. Bruno ran around a house, but Alfonso had caught up. He grabbed onto Bruno's arm to see Bruno's insecure eyes.
